  1. I want to wear badass Aramis sunglasses when I'm an old lady.
  2. If a high-level prospect is carrying does poorly at the next level or if he's rated highly because of tools and not production and he still doesn't produce, his stock can lower easily. The major reason a farm system drops in ratings is that they aren't producing new talent to replace the other talent (the talent that either graduates from the system or flames out). Some players actually take a while to really drop in rankings in my opinion (i.e. Ryan Harvey and BA). No clue. Feed-back <-- Not edited, that's weird. It's likely a wildcard glitch affecting words that start with an "f" and end with "ck."
  3. Lou was complimentary of Sean on the wgn pregame show; said he pitched well and Lou liked his competitveness & attitude.
  4. Welcome back, Aramis! Sean needs to be pitching regularly.
  5. If the Cubs offload a bad player to every team that spanks 'em, they could turn over the roster within the next month.
  6. I'm spot-starting for the day game; Southpaw19 is the starter for tomorrow's game either way. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/150404.jpg LHP Ted Lilly, 5-4, 3.69 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 85.1 IPs, 72K/17BB, .231 BAA, 1.06 HR/9 vs http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/218894.jpg RHP Vincent Padilla, 3-8, 6.57 ERA, 1.73 WHIP, 76.2 IPs, 42K/32BB, .316 BAA, 1.42 HR/9
  7. 'flu-like symptoms'
  8. If it's not up by 11 the night before a game, someone can spot-start it, as someone did last night. Jazz read my PMs about the game, but I haven't heard from him. He'll be skipped; Fred rides out the current starts if his schedule allows it, and Southpaw19 is up next.
  9. yikes, rough day for the system
  10. At least he got a scoreboard tour!
  11. I wonder how that happened.
  12. The video is up on the cubs.com mlb page now.
  13. Because it would have been more difficult to claim that the pitch just got away from him. Sounded to me like DLee interpreted whatever Young had to say as meaning that the HBP was intentional.
  14. Peavy's quotes puts responsibility on SD as well.
  15. First Trib photo up. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v488/laserena06/Wrigley/30568612.jpg
  16. I've always wanted to get up in that scoreboard, but I haven't figured out a way to make it happen yet. That's it -- I'm buying a Gallagher jersey!
  17. The details were hazy ... I just remembered you had the audio they needed. Stored in your underwear drawer, if I remember correctly. I don't think you signed up, so I took the liberty of listing you as 'on call.' I figured the Cubs have to earn having you get back in the rotation by getting back to .500 first.
  18. ha. Not to be serious, but ... oh well ... there are still places that can't get broadband without getting expensive satellite coverage. We have a second family house in northcentral Indiana (downtown, even!) where we can't get DSL or mobile broadband coverage (I can get internet access through cingular mobile, but it's spotty and even slower than dialup). We have Comcast cable, but they don't offer internet services in that area. I looked into satellite because they were advertising pretty low rates for a two-year commitment, but for some inexplicable reason, our place didn't qualify for those rates and service would have been nearly $200 a month plus installation. So dialup it is. We do get WGN radio reception, though! :) The local phone company was saying that DSL was on its way; apparently they need to rewire half the town before offering it.
