  1. You're on the list! :D
  2. According to Paul Lukas at uni-watch, the Cubs will be retaining the unique embroidered "C" patch on the batting helmets even if they decide to switch to the Cool-Flo for the regular season.
  3. Z will be starting for Venezuala vs Puerto Rico tomorrow night.
  4. Figured I'd get this game thread going ... Sounds like we'll see Hee Seop Choi in action! Team Mexico Preview Team Korea Preview

  6. Huh? Seems to me he does strike out a lot of guys! :-$ It's the U.S. Sneak Attack. =;
  7. This is exactly what I was advocating earlier. Trying to be more selective and find a pitch to drive early in the count doesn't take away from anything Pierre does. With two strikes he can still be his slappy self and annoy the bejeebers out of pitchers. The only downside to being more selective and taking harder cuts at pitches early in the count is more 2 strike counts. However, because Pierre currently slaps the ball no matter the count, that's not really an issue, or at worst a relatively minor one compared to the improvement in extra bases. How much does he bunt-single?
  8. Broadcast Info: This game was originally scheduled to be shown only on ESPN Deportes. Bob's Keeper and Jon reported in the 3/10 WBC Thread that Steve Stone said that ESPN2 may be picking up the game: So hopefully people can see it there! Check your local listings tomorrow. Otherwise it's available through Deportes, mlbtv and gameday audio. Team Japan Preview Team USA Preview
  9. FYI -- Bruce Levine said today that Oneri Fleita will be one of the guests tomorrow (Sunday) morning on the Talkin' Baseball show, which is 9 - 11:30 am CT. He didn't say when Fleita would be on. The radio station is AM 1000 in the Chicago area or you can listen live through their website. If you want to submit a question, Levine's email is listed as bruce.w.levine@abc.com. If I hear the interview, I'll give a recap, but I have something scheduled tomorrow morning and it's unlikely that I'll hear the entire show.
  10. Yesterday was his first appearance in a Giants spring training game. He DH'd.
  11. I caught a brief clip of Aramis on one of the Chicago news stations last night. He was fielding grounders and they said he was taking fielding practice but not batting practice yet. That's all they said.
  12. Thanks, Bruce! This is making me wish I could have made a trip out there this spring.
  13. Yep, Gameday Audio shows the other SS Angels game on the schedule, but not the Cubs game.
  14. As far as I know, there's no broadcast for this game. You can follow the exciting MLB Gamecast through the MLB Scoreboard page. An overview from Bruce Miles:
  15. He's denying those reports now. LINK.
  16. Bullpen is up for Team Canada!
  17. That's a fired-up crowd!
  18. The game will be on MLBTV and Gameday Audio.
  19. I'm locking this since you also asked in the game thread, which is where the information would be if it's available.
  20. Looks like another game without a broadcast. The MLB Scoreboard is here. Cubs are 4-3 this spring; Rockies are 2-6.
