    I don't think he gets a free pass unless you're talking about from MacPhail. A lot of people here haven't been happy with Hendry and his overall philosophy for much longer than last year.

    Not even the Maddux-Marshall magic could sustain the team and the Cubs are now 10-2 in their starts. Marshall's ERA is down to a very nifty 3.12, WHIP = .89; BAA=.165.

    Barrett deserves a dramatic Emmy for his performance tonight ... but I guess an All-Star bid will have to do.

The sad thing is JC and a few others had recognized this a while ago. I'm just grateful someone out there finally recognized it, given the other blatant oversights.

    hahaha - whats wrong with that? He obviously wasn't successful. People can complain about sacbunting. What bugs me the most is when people who can't bunt at all are doing it. If you're going to do the bunt, then BUNT IT. 3rd K for Jones tonight.
