He also got to a shot down the right field line quickly and fired a strike to 2nd base to keep the hitter from advancing. Dubois is an interesting problem. He's most likely ready for a major league job. However, what's his value as a Cub if he doesn't play everyday? I don't think he's someone you can give a back up job to, as he will rust sitting on the bench. You could go with him as a platoon, but the right handed hitter will get the lesser amount of playing time due to the high percentage of right handed pitchers (ignoring the way Dusty used Grudz and Walker this season). The other issue is that Lee, Sosa, Ramirez, Barrett and possibly Nomar make the line up right hand dominant, something the team struggled with this year. LF is a place we can upgrade with a lefty bat, and possibly a top of the order OBP type guy, something else the team is sorely lacking. If we went with Dubois in left, I'm not really sure why we shouldn't just resign Moises to a 1 year deal, since Dubois will most likely be a lesser Moises, at least at the plate. And I want Moises gone. IMO, LF is where the Cubs need to address the top of the order, assuming Todd Walker comes back and hits 2nd.
