  1. AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  2. Carli Lloyd ten dollar bill make it happen now.
  3. Should've been his in the first place, but better late than never I guess.
  4. Pogba to Barcelona. That's fair.
  5. Shouts to Jurgen. @landondonovan: Love the enthusiasm and veteran presence of @AbbyWambach despite not playing much. That kind of leadership is priceless during a WC
  6. Sounds like it's San Jose and Chicago in for Cheech.
  7. MLS is going to approve a 4th DP slot called a "Core Player" or some such nonsense. Gio Dos Santos is signing with the Galaxy and I presume Seattle and NYC FC will be announcing a huge signing shortly. Hope the players' reps recognize how fucked they got.
  8. He should have been ruled out with a "he sucks", but I'll take it. http://www.mlssoccer.com/sites/league/files/imagecache/player_profile_headshot/players/head-shots/Benny-Feilhaber_0.jpg
  9. Seems like every team that got their own stadium early, which was a huge step for the league and important in it's development, has now been held back by that stadium. They built them when the ceiling and audience for the league was unambitious. Now they're stuck out in the suburbs. Chicago and Boston have by far the two highest ceilings left for their MLS market. All of these rich guys that are buying in should try to buy the Fire or the Revs and move the team into the city instead of trying to get franchises in Miami, Sacramento, San Antonio or whatever.
  10. I can't begin to describe how silly I felt listening to Ray Hudson call the Argentina v Columbia pk's just now. Good god.
  11. Yo can Jurgen call up JJ, Sauerbrunn and Kling?
  12. Sucks to be Toronto. Bradley, Jozy and Giovinco are killing it together. Bradley's passing is on point, Giovinco's dribbling is incredible and Jozy is finishing as well as he ever has. Finally healthy and playing some great soccer together and they're about to lose Jozy and MB for a month. Poor Giovinco is going to be feeling the loss the most because the rest of that team suuuuucks. Last night's highlights: http://www.torontofc.ca/video/2015/06/24/bacardi-match-highlights-mtl-vs-tor-june-24-2014 On the bright side, Jozy and Bradley are in great shape going into the gold cup.
  13. I think so. Mexico and the US will absolutely send their A teams. Messi still hasn't won [expletive] for Argentina and Neymar will need to redeem himself for this tourney. South America is used irregular Copa Americas. They'll treat this one like they usually do.
  14. Gold Cup allows I think 6 additional changes after the groups, so I'm guessing Besler, Agudelo, Shea and Garza get called up for the knockouts. He did this last time around with Omar Gonzalez and a few others. Given the injuries and drama going on in Seattle, it'd be fantastic if Morris isn't called in because Seattle's about to break the bank on him. They really, really need a speedy goal scorer at the moment.
  15. Gold Cup GOALKEEPERS (3): Brad Guzan (Aston Villa/2007), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake/2011, 2013), William Yarbrough (Club Leon) DEFENDERS (7): Ventura Alvarado (Club America), John Brooks (Hertha Berlin), Timmy Chandler (Eintracht Frankfurt), Brad Evans (Seattle Sounders FC/2009), Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy/2013), Fabian Johnson (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Tim Ream (Bolton Wanderers/2011) MIDFIELDERS (9): Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake/2009, 2013), Alejandro Bedoya (Nantes/2011, 2013), Michael Bradley (Toronto FC/2007, 2011), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo/2005), Mix Diskerud (New York City FC/2013), Alfredo Morales (Ingolstadt), DeAndre Yedlin (Tottenham Hotspur), Gyasi Zardes (LA Galaxy), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City) FORWARDS (4): Jozy Altidore (Toronto FC/2011), Clint Dempsey (Seattle Sounders FC/2005, 2007, 2011), Aron Johannsson (AZ Alkmaar), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes/2011, 2013) BRAD DAVIS? Yedlin a MF? Wondo? Matt Besler must be too buddy-buddy with Feilhaber. DeMarcus Beasley comes back for friendlies but not GC? Fab a defender?
  16. Of course. Knew that would happen. At least I can stand by my "as talented as any team in the tourney" opinion. Really would have loved to see that team with two healthy forwards.
  17. Clint Dempsey granted a three game suspension/vacation. http://www.sounderatheart.com/2015/6/19/8815123/clint-dempsey-suspended-three-games
  18. At least he didn't KO the ref. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZvU_Y4V9BM
  19. Sounders pbp man Ross Fletcher basically called that the ref was going to be trouble early in the broadcast because of his haircut. It was hilarious. He basically said he had the haircut of a pedant. Turned out to be very, very accurate. Hopefully Deuce doesn't get suspended. That was an all-time DP power move though. Edit - So apparently Deuce could be suspended up to 3 months following the letter of the law. That includes MLS, Open Cup and National Team. Also, the ref has issued 19 cards, 4 reds in only three center assignements.
  20. Would've been nice to see this team compete full strength, but they acquitted themselves well. lots of players to be excited about. As talented as any u20 group in the tournament and that we've produced. As always the transition to senior club teams will be key. Zelalem has a ways to go strength wise and Tommy Thompson needs to play for a manager other than Dom Kinnear. CCV and Steffen are going to be monsters. Miazga is solid. Payne could be very good. I wish I was as high on Hyndman and Rubio that a bunch of people who know more than me are, but I'm not quite sold. Hope they're right.
  21. Miguel Ibarra signed with Club Leon in Liga MX
  22. Missed, but laughed when I got the score alert on my phone. Bobby Wood and Jurgen still aren't good, but I'll take it. We're gonna steamroll the gold cup. Mike Bradley is in killer mode. Really hope we see Brad Evans more than Chandler at RB going forward. If we want a solid defender with good distribution to feel out the opponents before Yedlin comes in to blow them out, he's much better than Chandler. Also, having seen the highlights, it's eery how much Jordan Morris reminds me of Donovan. That dummy got the ball to Wood, but also had him tearing open at the near post, classic LD. Anyone else watching the u 20's think Cameron Carter Vickers has world class written all over him? He's got it all. He could be on the bench for Tottenham at 17.
  23. Three of the best players on the team, Zelalem, Carter-Vickers and Palmer-Brown could play in the next u-20 World Cup in '17.
  24. That game was drunk. The crazy thing is we absolutely deserved the win. I'd love to know if Holland has ever conceded four to four bigger bums than Brooks, Zardes, Williams and Wood. I mean, I like those guys to varying degrees and Brooks could someday figure it out and be really good, but damn. They some bums. Michael Bradley was the best player on the field by a mile today.
