  1. The man's name is Razor Shines. I fail to see the problem here...
  2. who cares, he helps the NL by not letting Hafner or Liriano on the team.
  3. Bill Simmons is an NBA guru? Nah. Bill Simmons isn't a guru of anything other than writing Boston-centric, poorly researched articles filled with boring pop culture references and analogies. You are right about the third year thing though.
  4. Reports say we got cash back. Not sure how much though.
  5. Hyperbole. I really want the Bulls to keep Thomas. I revere Jordan more than someone should, but LBJ is going to have a similar career. Hopefully not the championships though.
  6. Hopefully he can teach LD how to be a man and play like Ballack.
  7. If by Mavs you mean Suns, then yes, they will. The Suns are going to win it all next year barring injury. Nash, Marion, Stoudamire, Diaw, Barbosa, Bell, and D'Antoni's system. Detroit no longer had the best starting 5. As for the KG trade, I say do whatever you can to switch Thomas our with Ben Gordon. Tyrus Thomas is the perfect combination of athleticism and size to (attempt to) guard LeBron James for the next 15 years. The reality of the situation is that we are now for all intents and purposes the Pacers of the 90's. We have a good team, but the best player of all time is in our division Not much we can do about that except try to put a team on the floor that can contain him.
  8. Still a rumor though for those of you who are to lazy to open the link:
  9. And to think that there are those of us who don't even want Keller to start. Not that any of you probably care, but ASU returns 9 starters on the nation's #1 offense featuring two all-american candidate QB's, Rudy Carpenter and Sam Keller.
  10. Good choice sir. <----has been proudly wearing his deutschland t shirt since the USA was eliminated (not everyday mind you). Gotta root for the fatherland, although I wouldn't be heartbroken to see France win it after watching the mastery that was Zidane and Henry today. That was professional artistry at it's finest. I can't believe they dominated that badly.
  11. I think the only way they would do the deal is if they legitimately thought it gave them a shot at contention. They did almost beat the champs this year, Miami's underperformance not withstanding. I honestly don't think they'll trade Thomas under any circumstances. I think they acquired him to be the guy who defends LeBron for the next 15 years.
  12. Haha Yeah, it may have a bit to do with me thinking this would be a great deal. I'm not a big Chandler fan at all. hey! I don't want to have to sick Peter Crouch on you. http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/325/karatekid1vk.jpg CRAP! THAT GUY CAN DO ANYTHING!
  13. Talked to a friend tonight who heard the interview on Boers and Bernstein. He remembered Paxson saying he absolutely wouldn't do it. Paxson thought Marion was an excellent player in the system he played in but the Bulls would be giving up too much -- three assets: Tyson, the number 2 pick, and $14M in cap space -- to get him. Is that your recollection as well? Yeah but it is more complex than that. When introducing him, Boers prefaced it by saying something like "and now we welcome onto the show a man who will lie to us from now until Wednesday evening, Jon Paxson. Paxson replied, "pretty much." I was getting the vibe that he was just trying not to show his hand to Phoenix. He went out of his way to praise the players at the top end of the draft and act like he wasn't even considering the Marion deal. I don't care what he says, I think when a player like Marion is offered, you have to consider it. I think the Suns are asking for next year's pick as well and with the option to swap first rounders w/the Knicks, he isn't going to biff the chance at Oden. I could be wrong though, he may not want to do the deal at all. I think it's clear he values Chandler a ton more than I do.
  14. I don't know if anybody already posted this, but Reyna did indeed announce his retirement. He said he wants to go into coaching.
  15. Oh yeah. Your team is WAAAAAY worse.
  16. brb suiciding
  17. No mention of it in any of the local papers today, and all the articles focus on the Bulls draft strategy following a conference call with Pax. So I'd guess not a lot of legs. It has legs more in Phoenix than here. My dad says it's all they've been talking about on Phoenix sports talk radio for about a month. I have a feeling the Suns want next year's pick which would be insane to deal now that the Knicks have fired Larry Brown. Basically Paxson said on Boers and Bernstein that he wouldn't do it, but I think he is just saying that to drive down the Suns' price. They have cap issues and want to lock up Diaw and have a glut of forwards with Amare coming back. I also think Pax values Chandler very high for one reason or another. We'll see what happens after it goes down, because the days leading up to the NBA draft is nothing but lies and misdirection anyway.
  18. You got screwed with Jered Weaver. Stupid, stupid Angels.
  19. Kirk Hinrich is the life blood of this team.
  20. lol at the ridiculousity.
  21. Hawk just asked for DJ to "give me some love."
  22. THAT was way gone.
