  2. Yes. Hopefully Weaver and Marquis continue to blow so Mulder comes back and takes one spot and they call up Chris Narveson to take the other.
  3. Granted I am far from being knowledgeable about the Cubs farm system and their prospects, but that is HIGH praise for .275/.335/.419/.754. I'm assuming since he is 21 that he must have done quite well in the lower levels to be in AAA. He's done quite well at lower levels. He's still a top-50 prospect despite his struggles this season, given his age, past success and tools. Any MLB'ers that he could project to be similar to?
  4. In an interview with LaRussa it sounds like Jeff is getting one more start to prove he has any value at all. I wouldn't be surprised to see this experiment end in another DFA.
  5. They were booing the ruling of a hit, not Utley as a player. Not that it matters in any way if they did. Cubs fans are 100% classy as well I'm sure. Booing guys like Pujols every time he bats. Every fan base is like this, there is no use acting like it's isolated to one or that one is better than another. Your vendetta is laughable.

  7. You guys are underestimating how many people HATE Pink Floyd.
  8. In your view you aren't, but if someone likes the Beatles then by that logic you would indeed be wrong to them. Wow. This is heavy stuff. It leads to greater philosophical thought on the nature of right and wrong. Ex - Mel Gibson might not think Hitler is bad, but it's pretty universally acceptable to think he is. Is Melvin wrong? Edit - Unless the real truth you are alluding to is that you, tree, are the definitive authority of what is deemed "right" or "wrong" in this universe. IN that case you'd be right.
  9. Bah. Give it up, Michael. Cheap Seats obviously isn't going to change his hilarious opinion. It'd be fantastic if JJ was the Cubs CF next year. I'd love it. That's probably not a great sign for Cubs fans.
  10. haha now it's 19-18 queen.

  14. The best thing about this trade is it forces Tony to sit Miles. For those not paying attention, Aaron Miles = our Neifi. Luna ='d our Todd Walker (good stick, bad glove).
  15. qft This is where Nirvana finally bows out.
  16. Dunn has yet to unleash his full power.
  17. hmm Michael = CardsFanInChiTown thrill = wolf stansson planet pujolsian = indifferent G. Keenan = vaball ManEatingTarp all trolls  tamborine man=tamborine man
  18. At the time of my vote, 19 women have selected the Police.
  19. Total rip job. Whoever said the poll lost all credibility was right. CCR was, imo, underrated and an extremely tough draw. Radiohead should've overcome though.
  20. In a heart wrenching 30 second decision I chose Zep. As Tree said, they must win this tournament.
  21. How on earth did that happen? Motley Crue? That's embarrassing. For a lot of people (me included) that wasn't so much a vote for the Crue as it was a vote against Floyd. A little John Kerry syndrome.
  22. This goes beyond the absolute bull crap that was 1985 and Dekinger. This is, as previously mentioned, an inferiority complex. It involves not just baseball, but football and most heatedly college basketball. Kansas City, though in Missouri, has a lot of Kansas affiliation beyond the name. Ask some of our resident Mizzou alum/students how they feel about the Jayhawks.
