  1. Hafner and Hardy could be had in a trade.
  2. The smart-ass answer to this would be on May 28, when the USMNT plays England in a friendly. Isn't Spain before that? I think that could be the big La Liga/Jozy showcase. I believe it's Spain/England/Argentina/Random Island Nation Yes, this. Keep him out of the Prem. I'd also wish that a certain Serie A side would have shown more interest in Michael Bradley. Juve or Milan? Honestly, either. I know you hate yourself some Juve, but a Serie A CL level side would be a better place for him to develop than playing for a mid table Prem team like Blackburn or whoever it was that's set to buy him this summer. Oh I totally agree. That's why I said some pages back that although it would enrage me, Juve would be a great place for him. name me one current Juve center mid. I watch Serie A on a weekly basis, and even I have difficulty with that question. From SBI this morning: I know his dream spot is Milan.

  4. Probably this summer, I'd imagine.

  6. Olympic Groups: * USA, Netherlands, Nigeria, Japan * Argentina, Ivory Coast, Serbia, Australia, * Brazil, Belgium, China, New Zealand * Italy, Cameroon, South Korea, Honduras I bet Giuseppe Rossi is on the Italian squad. Also, the Dutch team is stacked. I don't know how our defenders are going to do against Babel and co. If they bring Huntelaar or RVP, we are going to have to battle for second. We're going to need some continued Freddy Olympic magic if we are going to advance.
  7. If Beckham stays healthy, Landon is going to score 30.
  8. Jozy Altidore is the truth. I've seen him take on more defenders in the first 30 minutes of this game against New England than I saw Eddie Johnson do in three years. He just split two defenders about 10 yards outside the box, carry the ball with them hanging off of him, push Jeff Lawrentowicz off and blast one into the top of the net from the top of the box. Btw, I'm also really impressed with Michael Parkhurst. He is small, but every time Angel or Jozy have gone at him, he has held his own. I think he has a future in Europe and on the MNT.
  9. Maybe not, but I would still consider ozzie guillen still a top 5 worst manager. Still?
  10. whew, at least I wasnt the only one to notice the mispellings that existed on top of the dreadful grammar. props to the wolfman ? I'm not participating in this thread. all you people look the same anyway. AHAHAHA!

  12. This is my gripe with him too. I have to bring up some intangibles, because I generally deal in quantifiable qualities, but Rose hasn't impressed me in games where he actually has to depend on anything beyond his physical superiority. He isn't a killer who can carry a team and I've never seen him exert himself and succeed.
  13. If Grant isn't gone now, then I hope Liverpool b slaps us in the CL and he gets gone.
  14. You're taking a piss, dude. In case you haven't been paying attention, Chris Paul is having one of the best seasons a pure point guard has ever had.
  15. Rocket and I had a quality, even matchup. Split categories from both O and P.
  16. If so, that's one hell of a guard. He is. To be fair, Kidd is a horrible shooter so it's not a surprise. And Jason's court vision and passing are amongst the best. But body type, speed while Kidd was in his prime, etc. are very similar. I'd take Rose over Beasley. To be fair, I told you how good he was a month and a half ago and got ripped for it. Good to see you have came to your senses. Rose should be the first pick in this draft. Power forwards are there every year, but a great point guard is there every 5-10. I would be shocked if Derrick Rose ever became any kind of transcendent player, which is what a better shooting Jason Kidd would be (Oscar Robertson).
  17. I think Capello is a little late to the party for Walcott. He needs to be an auto invitee. One of the few real bright young stars in England. I don't trust his finishing though. As far as American prospects compare, I'd take Adu, Bradley and Altidore over Walcott. I'm probably just being a homer, but I don't see a huge difference between Walcott and Landon Donovan. Walcott is faster, but Donovan is the better two-footed player and more versatile. Of course, I don't see Theo deciding to play in a second-rate league for the prime of his career, so he has that going for him. Donovan got two more today. One in the run of play. I can't help but hope that Ruud Gullit is inspiring something in him to really play to his potential and go out there and prove himself.
  18. Game over, Gooners.
  19. Wow, he's a stud. That'd be a big loss for Brazil and a huge gain for the Dutch. I still have a hard time believing that Ronaldinho is going to an Adidas team.
  20. Clint started and played 85 as the attacking mid. Was subbed for Boca when they wanted to dig in and play for the points. I don't think it is a coincidence that they win when they have McBride, Bullard and Dempsey starting together and Boazza and Eddie Johnson nowhere near the squad. It's all but official, Ronaldinho to AC Milan is happening. That is a crowded midfield. I'm sure Dunga is unbelievably happy with this turn of events. Kaka, dinho and Pato playing and training together. and it look like milan will get sheva back. :beg: hopefully it's actually for some cash, and not just on loan. i read a story this morning about drogba moving to real madrid. I think Drogba will go wherever Jose ends up. Either way, it's going to be a big summer transfer window for both my teams.

  22. That was an unreal ending. I was so mad watching it. Not because of the whole having to score in the final three minutes of extra time even though we were up a man for 115 minutes thing, but because Christian Miles is the worst commentator I've ever heard. Luca's strike to tie it with literally two seconds left and it sounded like he was reading from a cue card and could care less about anything going on in the game. "aaaand luca toni with the header to tie it up. Bayern advances to the semi final round after a late comeback. Oliver Kahn looks like he can't believe it."
  23. I spoke too soon! Yes! http://soccernet-akamai.espn.go.com/design05/images/PH2/LucaToni4121219.jpg
  24. Shades of Ventura v Ryan in terms of disparity of badassedness.
