  16. Very reasonable lineup
  17. Jorginho, one of the best and most experienced players in the world, got caught being Italian and it cost them the goal. He left his man to spaghetti hands at the ref.
  18. There is also enough info and insight out there to know that Herdman's approach and philosophy is much simpler and oriented around the press and transition attack, while Berhalter is trying to implement a complex tactical style based on detailed positioning. It's easy as a fan to point at the results and have strong feelings about which approach is more appropriate for the international game based on time together, our talent level, and inconsistent player availability and form.
  19. It also has much to do with the overall frustration fans have had with GGG's teams seemingly adding up to be less than the sum of their parts during the entire qualifying cycle. Obviously health and suspensions have played a role in that, but I think there's a constant low to high grade cognitive dissonance of watching our players play for the national team and then comparing it to the clubs they play at and just expecting more. Then contrast it with Canada, who seem to get a squad that is greater than the sum of their parts, like we used to pre-2016. So we've lost our collective spirit and aren't getting peak performances out of a combination of players that we know is better than they've shown.
  20. My condolences to both Cubs fans and Chelsea fans, who's teams will both get immediately weaker if the Ricketts bid is accepted.
  21. Group A looking like a raw steak to every team in pot 2
  22. Zach is fit so at least there’s that.
