  1. God bless joe scally for emerging so quickly.
  2. About time
  3. I was really hoping they'd get one game, bust the chant out again against Panama, and then have no fans against the US. What are the odds that we get an in-game stoppage in that azteca qualifier? Pretty good, I'd say. They'll definitely do the chant against us.
  4. Pulisic & Jordan Morris returning to action this week.
  5. Allegri really lit a fire under Wes, but unfortunately they still suck. Not sure Wes is good enough for a Juve that’s good enough, but I’m glad he’s playing and scoring again. Responds well to challenges. Will position him well when it comes time for a move.
  6. Can’t believe Dest didn’t get the game ball
  7. Ajax just spent $25M on Haller. Ajax isn't an easy path to the first team. I'm on the belief that I want every great US prospect to go to Dortmund, and with the obvious Haaland transfer looming next summer, I think he could break in quickly.
  8. "Squad selection" is the obvious gripe with that match/result, but it goes so much deeper. We had more than enough talent and experience on that field to win. It's just incredibly obvious that only the starters have any kind of grasp on their role and how to execute it within the game play and the larger pool below them still doesn't. Even the starters comfort and chemistry sucks in the first half, pretty much every game they play. I just don't put much stock into GGG's ability to communicate and implement his game plans, regardless of his personnel choices, and the greener the players are in his system, the worst it translates. This is also why we are a much stronger second half team than first half under GGG. That, and the embarrassment of riches USS has in terms of relative youth, recovery/physical therapy, nutrition, travel, etc when compared to every other CONCACAF team except Mexico.
  9. I've given this some thought... I think my best 11 has Musah in the middle and McKennie on the bench. Musah is just way cleaner in possession. Move Reyna to the middle and keep Pulisic and Weah/Aaronson out wide. I've watched this clip a bunch, and other than the goal, I'm really enjoying the weirdo in the AO section waving an Indiana Pacers flag. Our 20 year old Barca right back scores a fuckin worldy and that guy is like, "you know who the world needs to think about right now? Damontis Sabonis!"
  10. I’m still shocked we have a pool capable of benching players like Aaronson and Weah when we have our full best 11. And they’re all going to have three cycles together. Who knows what else is coming through the pipeline?
  11. Big woop
  12. I agree. Steffen game sharpness/dumb goal aside, we put more pressure on their bunker than we have against a bunkering team in GGG era. He is extremely easy to coach against, which I think is the most obvious evidence against him not being a great game planner, so breaking a bunker was a good sign.
  13. Glad Weah got it. He’s been great.
  14. We might get 4 tonight by the time we get into the subs. These old costa ricans are not hanging with the pace.
  15. Musah’a hip turn is devastating. He is a killer in the low post
  16. BANGARANG SERGE
  17. Still think we’re getting three tonight
  18. Nope. Atrocious.
  19. Zach has played well when healthy. He hasn't really done anything to lose the job other than being on City's bench, which is probably the best bench of all benches to be on in terms of squad rotation opportunities, elite level training, and coaching. I don't have a problem with GGG rotating his keepers to keep them hungry and give them opportunities to earn/lose the job.
  20. That tweet is the base of my in-game Gyasi is punishing Gregg post. It's like Gyasi knew that the lineup was so dumb that he had to put the exclamation on it with an own goal just to rub Gregg's face in how dumb it was.
  21. Zero shots on goal.
  22. Is Gyasi doing this to punish Gregg?
