I'm no fan of Fox and their broadcast quality; I thought NBC did a nice job this past season, and I do not want to listen to Gus Johnson call MLS games. I'm with you, but I also like the fact that there's an actual bidding war. It used to be an ESPN charitable gesture. This Bradley move has been really interesting. MLS and our players basically find ourselves in the same position that Mexico has been in for decades. Our league is big enough and rich enough that they'll pay our best players too much money for them to go to low level European teams but not so much that our very best won't leave to go to big teams, but our players aren't good enough/high enough profile to attract interest from the very top teams. MLS is pricing out mid - low table teams in the big leagues and our players aren't wanted by the very top teams.
