  1. As long as the Brewers and White Sox stay out. I'm on the ledge as it is.
  2. Man oh man, if Pat's saying lines like that, it really is bad.
  3. $10 says the scoreboard was telling the fans to "make noise."
  4. Best part is that no matter what the Cubs do here, their setup man was just lifted for a pinch-hitter out of necessity, so in a lead situation it'll either be two innings for Woody or an inning from one of the clowns that sit down there in the bullpen.
  5. Just imagine if someone could do that with men on base. Something magical might happen.
  6. My pain would be eased somewhat if, somehow, every one of those godforsaken towels suddenly burst into flame.
  7. Particularly with Sori on his way to the plate.
  8. Same old story. It'll be like this all night.
  9. Inning should have been over. Typical.
  10. What purpose do these incessantly stupid towels serve?
  11. Not since Wednesday, though, so the rest would be identical (even though he was warming up Thursday night). The decision for the Dodgers is between Lowe on short rest after throwing 6 innings or Maddux on short rest after throwing 1 inning.
  12. Bad time to live and die on the outside corner if you're pitching in the NL playoffs.
  13. Rich Harden's better than Rich Hill, but these all sound like the things we were saying prior to last year's Game 3. Then Chris Young got a straight fastball as the first pitch of the game and we were all http://www.ufck.org/forums/images/smilies/banana-still.gif
  14. You're right, the Cubs do need to clean up their act.
  15. I certainly hope that doesn't happen. It would be humiliating for him and the Cubs. I have the utmost hope that he's able to work hard in the offseason and come back strong next year. I'm not saying he wasn't a detriment to the team offensively this season, just that I would hate to see something that started so promising end so poorly and abruptly.
  16. That's my hope, that he takes his poor performance as completely unacceptable from a professional standpoint, works hard and is able to rebound strongly next season. My fear would be that he takes the criticism to heart and the eventual outcome is a messy one, either him returning to Japan or getting traded/disgraced out of town, Sammy-style.
  17. Fukudome disappoints me and I'm disappointed for him. We all had such high hopes and there was no reason not to expect that he would do better than this to some degree. I'm disappointed for how his first season has turned out - he leaves his home and his country to play in America and his first season will end with him performing so badly that Lou calls him out to the media. Disappointment abound.
