So you're saying that not only is Fukudome pretty fast, but he also has an aptitude for running the bases? I'd say both. He looks to be extremely well schooled in the game.

I'm told Michael Wuertz pitched one inning today, striking out two and getting the other guy to fly out.

Samardzija looked as good as I've seen him look. He worked on all his pitches and had pretty good command. The Cubs absolutely will not rush him up. If there are no injuries or severe poor performance, he'll likely spend all year in the minors with maybe a September call-up.
