    what were the marlins asking for in their proposed deals with boston and baltimore?

    IMO, hill plays a big factor in this, iff he pitches well today, we will not make a move for a starter. heres an idea Cubs get: Burnett, and Encarnacion Twins get: Lowell, and cash Marlins get: Hollandsworth, and Mitre Then we can either keep Burnett or ship him to an AL contender in need of pitching, like say Boston, for Mike timlin, and hanley ramirez (prbly would only get done if boston was guaranteed hed sign an extension)

    i still believe that there is a good chance that we will make a deal with tampa bay for baez, and/or huff. They just seem like the best fit, since they need cheap young talent for players that will be walking out the door soon anyway.

    how big a boost could Rich Hill be for this team? I have been hoping for a while he would get his chance to show his stuff, and today is the day. Cant wait to see what he brings

    wow, pat hughes really is a great baseball brodcaster, i routinely turn down the FOX and ESPN broadcasts, and put WGN on the radio to hear pat and ron. He certainly deserves a TV spot, but i am loving Len and Bob too

    IMO, if you are going to sign an OF this season (or offseason), or trade for one, he has to be of a calibur such as Dunn, young, prodigiousl and has alot of things that our team needs. Johnny Damon, while he could be a nice addition, is not that player, that you should be giving a 5 yr, 50-60 mil contract to However if the price is right, and he doesnt get that deal from anyone, and is willing to go 3 yrs, 30 mil, im definately interest. Also the same can be said of Brian Giles. This is why i think we need to go all out trading for Dunn this yr, because he could definately be a mainstay in this organization for at least 5 yrs.

    of course he likes the cubs, he also likes any other team in the market for a CF next year who might be willing to give him 5 yrs at 50-60 mil O.o
