  1. It would not be in the best interest to trade prior at the moment because 1. His value could be much heigher than it is right now 2. He is cheap, and not nearing pay day yet
  2. y? because of this picture http://reds.enquirer.com/2002/06/23/girardi_zoom.jpg
  3. has a broadcaster ever jumped from the booth to the dugout b4? Interesting question.
  4. baker has never been questioned as a person, he really is genuinely a nice guy, but that article is a complete joke. a quote from the article By sometimes do you mean game in and game out rick? If we are a team victim of injuries, then how come the cardinals are the best team in the NL even with their injury woes. This seasons faults mainly are put on bakers shoulders BECAUSE, of his idiocy as a manager. From his misuse of pitchers, to his failure to use deserving rookies over the likes of jose macias, neifi perez, and todd hollandsworth, show me that he is unfit to manage this team, fire dusty baker A.S.A.P
  5. id echo must every statement already made in this thread, but id also like to ask one thing, did hendry really put out the best team he possibly could going into this season?
  6. its hard to understand how a team with this muh potential can "lucking into win after win". i would think they have been winning DESPITE baker. I think Hendry is stuck on Baker. But all is not lost. Hendry has show willingness to let go of players with potential and even players that have gained the City's affection (Fransworth, Sosa-respectively). I would think Baker would pretty much have to tank the rest of the season for Hendry to tell him to hike...... my point was that they were winning DESPITE baker, maybe i didnt word that correctly. Top of my 2005 offseason wishlist b4 any signings, is to get rid of baker, anxiously awaiting that day.
  7. The cubs have a pretty decent core of players with Lee, and Ramirez as stapled in the lineup, and a couple studs in the rotation in Prior and Zambrano, not to mention depth behind them. i think the window for this current swing of talent is about till 2007-2009, but is their a chance baker could still be here then, with a new undeserved contract? IMO baker has been the luckiest manager in Baseball this year, lucking into win after win, but his luck has seemed to shortened out, and it is time Hendry and the cubs oust him off his respective (or unrespective ;)) rear end, and get a manager who can play to the potential of this team (which IMO is very high). What do you forsee happening to the current cubs manager position in the next 6 months?
  8. truly a class act by the reds players. We need more stories like these in baseball, amidst all the steroid talk.
  9. closer and MAYBE setupman is the only place you should be spending money on the bullpen, the rest should come from within the system, thats how most great bullpens are made.
  10. id rather sure up the pen, and add a big OF bat then shell out 10 mil+ for a decent SS. Especially when there are less expensive options available, that could bring the same production or even more
  11. I still belive ramirez is going to be trade either by waivers or in the offseason, and why not to us? LF Lawton SS Garciaparra 1B Lee RF M. Ramirez 3B A. Ramirez CF Pie/Patterson 2B Walker C Barrett Pitcher
  12. wow our bullpen had been so good, now it looks like this game will go sour :(
  13. Adam Dunn, and Austin Kearns should b on that list as well. If the reds cant move these guys by the waiver deadline, the reds management should be hit with rotten tomatoes
  14. Awesome vance, and nice job Djaxx congratulations on bein on live television with ur favorite baseball player mark that off your to do list b4 u die ;)
  15. crap i missed it they gonna rerun it tonight ?
  16. Wow, how cool would it be to have a Nomar DJAXX jersey?
  17. CRAP i had an entry, but i never posted it cause of thinkin of the deadline DAM DAM DAM
  18. great interview, and nice pictures DJAXX. Job well done =D>
  19. is there anyway to make a waiver move for griffey, for a package of hairston, and prospects? that would make things much easier
  20. play lawton in center, move hairston to left Lineup after nomar comes back CF Lawton 2B Walker 1B Lee 3B Ramirez RF Burnitz SS Garciaparra LF Murton/Hairston C Barrett
  21. theyre also reporting that kyle farnsworth is being moved to the pirates..
  22. what time to GM's go to sleep? :)
  23. alright, keep us updated on that
