  1. I actually know a Packer fan who would be willing to take that bet, quite easily. Somehow a broken down Charles Woodson who never learned technique and some rookie LBs means division champs. Go Bears! Here's to a cakewalk NFC North title! im calling a vikes division title here and now. hell, why not... NFC East - Cowboys NFC North - Minnesota NFC South - Carolina NFC West - Seattle WildCard - Arizona WildCard - NY Giants AFC East - Miami AFC North - Pittsburgh AFC South - Indianapolis AFC West - DEnver WildCard - Kansas City WildCard - New England
  2. didn't quite get that
  3. 2 more months till the start of the season, and since all of us would really like to be there now and not deal with this cubs season, this thread will make that slightly more of a realistic. Ashley Lelie needs to grow a pair: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2511047
  4. Not for me. To me, he's on the same boat as Emmitt. Great offensive line helped him a ton. Great QB took a ton of pressure off. And he's a step down talent-wise from Emmitt. He's in the Franco Harris boat for me. Bottom of the 3rd tier. However, given that if he was playing his last season right now, he'd project in the top 5 in all time yards, which would land him in this thread wouldnt it?
  5. this thread pains me because i know if terrell davis had not had that injury we would be talking about him in the same breath as these guys. oh well.
  6. can you imagine, not to long ago, we could have had that deal, and Prior has done nothing and Abreu is still the same all world player, and that deal is probably off the table now.
  7. It's a bit overplayed, yes. His best songs are Voodoo Chile (Slight Return), Little Wing, hey Joe and Red House. no love for Fire, and Spanish Castle Magic? That Little Wing riff has been bugging me for months i still can't play it.
  8. because Mettallica isn't universally appealling enough, or hailed enough to have a landslide win. 100 million total albums sold. not quite the beatles, but that's pretty dang good 20 million of which you can say succeeded more because of the success of the black album, but i wont go into those waters don't get me wrong, i love mettallica from Kill Em All to The Black Album, but maybe it's there last 4 or 5 effors that have subsequently disappointed me that makes me value them less. But i voted for them. Assuming your numbers are correct, that would still leave 80 million albums sold which is still pretty darn good. I only have a problem with St. Anger but I understand how people would have a problem with Load and Reload, and to a lesser extent the Black Album because they do veer away from their earlier work. But again, 80 million is nothing to be ashamed of. And I won't even delve into your spelling adventures. those dam double consonants always screw me over

  10. 10 people think that Jimi Hendrix < Kerry King that in itself is travishamockery to the umpthdegree
  11. Bingo. Wilt's 50.4 ppg average will never be touched. Wilt changed the game, not Mikan. Mikan forced them to change the shotblock rule, the width of the lane, and institute the three second rule. not sure what rules you are saying they changed for Wilt. Chamberlain forced rule changes as well. obviously my mistake. again the relative greatness of Mikan and Brown is not relevant to point I was making. Mikan changed the game 10x more than Wilt did Mikan was the first dominant player in the proffessional basketball, face facts. huh? that was my point. your barking up the wrong tree. I was just incorrect about who they changed some of the rules for. i knew that was your point that post was more in support / counterpoint of the post above you, prbly shouldnt ahve quoted yours.

  13. santana's latest album ruined this poll for me. Ozzy, only because i've been playing alot of guitar hero lately.

  15. not suprised dream theatre is realatively unknown. And the who deserve and will win this.
  16. Explaining why he's sticking with Grudz over...Walker? Who was Grudz competing with? That's the one and he was referring to Walker after the Cubs had signed both prior to 2004. i thought this was during the 04 season when walker had been injured and grudz was hitting decent and walker had just came back from injury around that time (maybe im just piecing together different instances)
  17. I disagree, but PF is my favorite band ever. You'll see The Who very soon Excellent. Is there another band who had dynamite in their Drum kit and has been on the Simpsons? Red Hot Chili Peppers, minus the dynamite, plus the tube sock
  18. I don't know what your musical tastes are, but Primus is definitely worth a listen. Les Claypool is (in my opinion) the best bass player in the history of rock music (better than Flea and Geddy Lee) and bass is the primary instrument in the band (while guitar is more of a rhythm/texture). Sailing the Seas of Cheese is my favorite album. for me its 1. Larry Graham 2. Bootsy Collins 3. Jaco Pastorius 4. Les Claypool 5. Flea
  19. Vault is the official soft drink of crackheads, junkies and 8 year olds.
  20. and that music scene is critiscized for having a crapload of fadbands as well as a flat out cookie cutter sound. Van Halen is the only respectable band in that genre IMO.
  21. you might be surprised on that last statement.
  22. Primus 16th, ouch, they deserved a better shot in this tournament. better luck next time Les.
  23. this is really mindblowing, how could anyone think that tommy lee > david gilmour??
  24. Do You even remember EuroCup 2000??
