Red Sox have nowhere near the pitching they had last year. I'm thinking AL West, or sadly the Astros as a long shot (that pitching 3 starters with a slam the door closer can reek havoc in the playoffs).

FWIW, I think Cards would destroy the White Sox if that was the World Series.

Past 1-2, I still don't know about your starting pitching, BUT your 1-2 (Carp, Mulder (at night, which all WS games are) weren't in the postseason last year so that goes in your favor.

Watching the Sox game, 16th inning 4-4. Both of these teams offense's suck, just choking with RISP. I don't know if I'm tired or what, but Hawk said something that made me laugh. :shock: DJ - "Jenks is pitching his butt off here." Hawk - "Well if he's doing that he can pitch for awhile." (that's a little off)

I used to feel confident with Demp going out there, since he was the best reliever, now with Woody making the other team looking just plain bad Dempster already nerve-racking saves are even harder on the nerves. -

He's only got 2-3 games that he can ND or lose, so he has to be on and his offense has to be consistent.

I think his best game might be his 3 homer game last year. He had 2 of those last year! In Cincinatti and at home versus Philly.

How was not overpaying this past offseason a bad thing? Do you really wish we had Beltran and that contract? Not in that instance, but I don't think Hendry has it in him to get a big name free agent. He can only say that FA's were going for to much and hand us the Burnitz's of the world so long. -

I don't care if we have to overpay, sign AJ Burnett. Hendry refused to overpay this offseason and he gave us Jeromy Burnitz. -
Ohman got 4 righties out that inning, and most have them looked foolish in doing so. OHman = stud.

Pat and Ron were talking about how he looks 'bigger' this year. I know you guys are just kidding around, but anyone (a righty-swinger) who plays their home games in the JuiceBox, feels like they need to be on steroids to be a better player DESERVES to be caught and banned from baseball for LIFE, just because they are so stupid!! fwiw, Pat and Ron were really talking about how he looked bigger, they never implied steroids.

Release Wellemeyer. No loss @ all. Majorly disagree. Ditto, Welley is alot better than what he showed tonight.
