  1. dear cubs, draft someone like verlander soon.
  2. Nice that the A's showed up to this game.
  3. really could have went without the '03 NLCS mention.
  4. Zito can smell the money from his upcoming payday, so I think the Tigers won't be scoring.
  5. I'd let them have what they gave us for Williamson back.
  6. So your bold predicition is they won't become the greatest team (record wise) ever? Quite the boldness there :D
  7. Walk off grandslam in game 7 of the world series for Neifi.
  8. WHY CARLOS WHY????????

  10. I think he might mean Alan Dunn as pitching coach... Listach and Dunn were confused in another thread.
  11. The Cubs did a pretty decent job at sending guys to playoff teams. Walker, Neifi, Nevin....who am I missing? Oh, Maddux Williamson too...... NEIFI is the only one that remains.

    Mark Prior

da muskat, I forgot to put the disclaimer. (Another awesome input from here from the mailbag when someone asked her why Murton didn't get an extended look at the 2 hole... she said he could work there but she prefers someone with more speed and the ability to bunt...)

  14. That's what pretty much everyone thought about Piazza too though. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that an NL team wanting to make a splash puts in an offer. But realistically, Bonds is going to be A) Very Expensive B) pretty old C) big question mark on his health = perfect Yankee
  15. remember late '04 when Mark Prior was looking like he was back in stud form and he had an awesome september. I believe his last start of the year, where he struck out 18 batters, including Dunn a couple of times to break the record. I remeber listening to the game on the radio and being excited because for most of the game he was on pace for 20. Typical Cubs (especially late Sept. 04) they only scored 1 run, and prior only gave up 1 through 9 and they lost in extras. sigh, sorry for the tangent but it's nice to remember when Prior was awesome.
