All of NSBB should buy up lotto tickets and hit Vegas (and other Casinos). If a couple of us hit big The Cubs could be the first ever team owned by a message board. Tim = GM?

Bill Murray (+ other investors) sounds like an interesting potential buyer as well. Cuban has experience in sports, but having a livelong Cubs fan own would be nice too.

I would think that in either case (owner that is interested in baseball and wants to win, or an owner that wants to make money) keeping the Cubs on national tv would be a priority.

Yeah we can hope. I gotta imagine that one guy that owns part of the Chicago Wolves hockey team that reported that he really wanted to buy the Cubs has put in a call, will Mark Cuban get involved after all the speculation?, can Steve Stone put together a group of investors. My main fear is somebody that sees the majority of Cubs fans as blind loyal that will follow the team (spend money on it) whether the team is in first or last and run it with sole purpose of maximizing profit.

The Bears convention was this weekend and they showed some clips on the Final Word, including Tommie Harris jogging across the stage and jumping around! He said that Tommie Harris is a 110% player, and right now he is only at 100% so he has 10% to gain before the season. great to hear!
