  1. I looked up the box score, and on top of Hendrick's debut it was Alcantara's 2nd day in the big leagues. He went 4/5 (after in 0-fer in his debut).

  3. [tweet] [/tweet] hopefully working it out was more than him being told to delete the original tweets also, on him being in Chicago v. South Bend. This is just a guess but is it possible that it's better (for development and being ready for ML innings) that he's in South Bend? For mound time he'd be pretty far down the line in Wrigley, but in South Bend he'd probably be the number one guy getting live BP and intersquad starts.

  6. Obviously already a lot of weirdness, but going to be so crazy to have nothing but a couple of 3:05/3:10 games for weekday day baseball. Will be the first season without Friday day baseball at Wrigley.
  7. Cubs travel the 2nd least amount with this schedule, of course it's not really an advantage because the teams they are playing are playing the same schedule and the NL Central contenders are the 3 of 4 (or 4 of 5 if you're including the Reds) least traveled. [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. Yeah I believe teams had to submit a roster by sometime yesterday but it didn't have to be complete, and you can add to it.
  9. It's highly possible that he's got more information than we do, but maybe don't tweet that out when there is still 10 spots left on the roster?
  10. [tweet] [/tweet] Also is expecting (hoping?) for limited fans in the stands at some point (in 2020).
  11. My money would be one what was probably going to happen pre-Covid... it will happen on opening day.
  12. I could be off in my thinking but I'd imagine they'd be running at a loss or just barely a profit to run them at such a low capacity. May be more profitable to run the season off as a total loss due to some sort of super rich people write off or insurance claim.
  13. i'm hoping the Dodgers lose like 7 regular season games, and then get knocked out by a .500 team in the playoffs.

  15. [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet]https://twitter.com/Pete_Alonso20/status/1272715532513542145[/tweet] This whole thing is showing how little the MLB/owners think of the players union. This close to a labor dispute and they just continue to spit in the player's faces.
  16. Seems relevant. [tweet] [/tweet]
  17. ah, I knew the current plan was games to be played at regular parks but I guess I missed that spring training redux would be at home also.
  18. Yeah I saw that when I was looking at Burl's twitter (he re-tweeted the below tweet), appears to be all of college baseball. [tweet] [/tweet]
  19. forget about the money issues, both Arizona and Florida covid situations are going to make sending thousands of people there anytime soon not possible.
  20. [tweet] [/tweet] If he's promising bat flips, I'm sold.
  21. yeah also a couple of weeks ago he posted a picture of himself in a mask and this happened
  22. I still think there is just too much money in Wrigleyville and the network to do a full on tank. They are going to need people at and around Wrigley and watching games. edit - also, man this is grim. No season in '20 is going to not help the labor relations for '22. By the mid '20s juicing will be mandatory to save the game.
