Yeah, with hindsight, it's safe to say there's a good chance he would have ended up demanding a trade anyways. So in an alternate reality where the Bulls don't trade Jimmy at that time we're probably in relatively the same position we are now. Basically, it was shitty, but it didn't doom the franchise because it was already on a crash course with that fate no matter what happened with Jimmy.

They're so close probably almost any number of games under 162 gets them under unless also prorated.

I admittedly have no idea how Marquee's lack of carriage could affect the Cubs' revenue, but 'more than double' sure shoots a hole in the idea that 'this network isn't an immediate money boost and that's why we have to sit out another off-season'. The problem though is how much of the 132 million is actual new money coming in? Not sure the actual ownership breakdown but i'd say at least half of that 132 million being paid to the Cubs is them paying themselves through Marquee.

I'd rather the ticker not run continuously on the bottom of the screen. It's 2020 if I cared about any of the scores or stats from other teams I can pull it up on my phone in 2 seconds.
