  1. That was a horrible performance. What was up with Rondo? He had 18 points, but it seemed like in the most crucial parts of the game, he was over in the corner twiddling his thumbs. UK has to have an inside presence, or this will be a very long season. I can easily see them losing to Indiana, maybe Kansas, and then there's Florida, LSU, and Alabama once the SEC season starts. I doubt they'll lose to Kansas. Kansas would have to play well, but I wouldn't be totally shocked. I also forgot to add Louisville. What's your take on Patrick Sparks? I know that's a vague question, but try and answer it anyway. He's very streaky. He went 3-12 today... he has to be hot for UK to win, it seems. Last year, when he made like 3 threes, they won an absurd percentage of their games. I thought he got beat defensively several times today (it seemed to happen to everyone, actually). UK can give you a much better evaluation though. :D

  4. it would be nice if you would tell us why you think this would be such a bad decision.
  5. each one of those players has significantly better career numbers than derrek lee.
  6. Weren't we talking about this in another thread? I can't remember if I gave my opinion or not :P. Anyway, I think Killingsworth will have no problem getting 20-30/10 against us. I won't be surprised at all if UK loses this game. We were indeed. It was the "2005-2006 Indiana Hoosiers" thread, but the thread disappeared yesterday somehow in the aftermath of the site's recent problems. I've been unable to relocate it again w/o the use of the search function, but this thread will be serviceable for such discussion. I haven't stayed abreast of the situation at UK....what is the name of the really tall guy that I remember from last year? How is he defensively? edit: nevermind, haha.

  8. i'd like to see the aggies pull off the upset, but gary thorne is so pulling for texas a and m it's not even funny.
  9. That's one of the best games I've ever seen.
  10. guys like brunner will kill us all year long if we don't get morris back.
  11. After reading what you suggested at the emergency forum BK, I was able to log in. The way I logged in was a bit strange though -- it wouldn't let me log in at first, so I hit the back button and proceeded to go to the Transactions forum, where I was logged in. I cannot remember if I had "log me in automatically" checked or not. I've been logged in since. It sounds like a DNS issue to me, though I am by no means a networking expert :P
  12. My only problem with this is that you could have asked Vance not to do it in the first place. It was obviously going to be a bigger deal this year, since it was going to be a tournament and all. This is Tim's site -- and ultimately he decides -- but I think this could have been avoided.
  13. i'd go with: Giles Furcal Millwood Burnett Jones
  14. what in the world happened? UK still won, but 48-43
  15. Have you fixed your bad mechanics so you won't get injured again? Isn't it Ironic that you joked/took a stab at Steve Stone criticizing your mechanics earlier in the year by saying "Maybe someone can teach me better Mechanics, I don't know", and then later in the year you were shut down YET AGAIN!!? When you go down again next year, will you please stay in the 8th inning, because that's the only way you can actually help this team. Would you please waive your non trade clause to get traded so you don't ruin another one of our chances with your injuries? feel free to use any one of those. . . why is it that people expect wood to be able to 'fix' his broken mechanics? if his mechanics are bad and are the cause of his injury, complain about the coaching staff failing to fix them, not a guy in his mid 20s w/ no coaching/mechanic fixing experience. it's not like rothschild has the magic key to fix the problem but wood has refused to use it. At $12 million for 2006, I expect this bum to lead the team. I expect more than 14 wins. I expect him to be man enough to change his mechanics in order to fulfill his obligations. Take responsiblity for your previous failures and waive your no-trade clause. There's that magic word yet again - "bum".
  16. because my team really sucks. i have 3 rookies that NEVER play
  17. that really was a horrible call... i really hope vandy wins this one
  18. [-X hate hate hate
  19. you goin' down derwood

  21. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=251012104 seems pretty arrogant to me
  22. Ummm... stay healthy for a full season? After reading through the first page, I thought that the thread had made it past the "OMG NOMAR CAN'T STAY HEALTHY!1!111!" stage, but I guess I was wrong.
  23. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2181048 He'll be baseball's youngest GM. Thoughts?
  24. i signed up. i'm a total noob, so i'll probably ruin the league.
