    I think someone will claim him, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him waived more than once this year. I could see Florida, Tampa, K.C., and Texas all putting in a claim for him. The Cubs may just be best off trading him for a PTBNL.

    Any chance at all the Cubs pass him through waivers & he clears? I don't see him having any chance to make the 25 man. I'm guessing the best they will able to get for him is a low to mid level prospect.

    FYI, Buster Olney was on a local radio station here in S.Fl. & predicted the Oakland A's will be the 06' WS champs. LY, he chose the Twins.

    That only happens if there is an injury to any of the starting BP guys or if Williamson is traded. If none of those happen, I'm guessing he will start the year as Iowa's closer. This is also assuming Welly is dealt.

    Neifi Perez vs. LHP 3 year: .259/.291/.415/.706 You know you suck when Neifi puts up better numbers than you. Neifi is swinging from the right side of the plate, when he is facing those lefties, unlike Jones. It's not a fair comparison. However, I do agree that Jones needs to be platooned v.s. LH'ers. Right now it looks like either Grissom or Hairston will be his platoon partner.

    Exactly, unless the Cubs have extensive injuries to the BP, we may never see Boehringer in Chicago this year. Most likely, a minor league roster filler. No big deal.

    My guess is Aramis is preparing himself physically & will ask for a restructuring of his contract after he has a career year in 06'. Lee/Ramirez will be a very potent 3/4 combo for the Cubs this year.
