I just like finding out about NSBB posters. Some of them I'll be like "huh, (username) is female? I wouldn't have guessed by the username. They're a damn good poster" Or "Huh, Raisin is black. Cool." Ok, just by my username and post history how many of you thought I was a big fat hairy overweight white boy? All of you? Thought so. You're all correct in that assumption, btw. ;) Raisin is Indian... Oh. Well aren't I an idiot? :oops: I thought he was referring to the Dusty quote a few years ago where he said black people were better in the sun and hot weather. I just assumed. Ok, my bad. I'll shut up now before I get myself into trouble. I was referring to the Dusty quote - brown skin is pretty dark, Indians should be good in the sun, etc. :P And you're not the first one to think I was white based on my Rich Hill avatar - except the other person who decided I was white actually knew my skin color/ethnicity. Also, I'm not 6'5, nor a lefty, nor do I throw one of the prettiest curve balls in all of baseball. I'm glad I don't look like MY avatar... I wouldn't even be an animate object!!

I'm sure you don't mean anything by it, but it sounds like it's implied that it's shocking to know that a female can be a good poster or know a thing or two about baseball. I hate the stereotype that females can't/don't know anything about sports. That's just because Baker needs to save Patterson for when the weather heats up. Jeromy's people are at their best in cool weather, and he'll get his days off in July/August. Sorry, I hate any everyday player that cannot do better than a 300 OBP; puts up a 5/1 KK/BB ratio; is completely incapable of making contact, much less getting an actual hit, with men on base; is extremely overrated defensively; and is paid millions of dollars. In the pre-game the day of nomar's injury, dusty told santo that he wanted nomar to go deeper into the count. I was a bit surprised And now the day Prior gets hurt he wants us to be more agressive at the plate. You know, you can't win. On the one hand, every time he says it, someone gets hurt. But if he does nothing about it, people don't get hurt, but they play like crap.

How is he the only one to blame for what happened in 1992? Personally, I would have left too after how the Cubs orginization acted. They acted like they were better than him, and they'd be damned if they let a lowly player make contract demands. I'd have left and never looked back, too. I don't blame him for leaving.

Granted, we don't have the Greg Maddux of old. Yes, he's more hittable now, and yes, he's at the end of his career. But I can live with him for one more year after this one as a 4th or 5th starter. Yes, he'll be overpaid next year (and this year) and probably won't produce up to his paycheck, but there are far worse options.
