During the intros, I was kinda afraid for that cameraman, espeically after people started booing Rogers. My brother and I were yelling "He's crazy! Run for your life!"

LOL@ my brother. Every time LaRussa comes on he changes the channel. My brother has a long-standing grudge against LaRussa since the first year or so of his St. Louis managing days when LaRussa flipped him off in Milwaukee when he asked for an autograph. I was there. I saw it. Too bad SportsCenter didn't have a camera nearby.

Yah, for whatever reason the AL just has had much better offenses the past few years, their pitching has been good enough and the NL pitching has been somewhat sucky - all together it means AL wins and NL losses And wasn't there that rumor last year that the reason Clemens gave up 6 first inning runs was that Piazza was tipping off the AL hitters? Wood should either be A) Traded, or B) moved to the bullpen after a few good starts. :lol: sorry couldn't help it man 8) Don't make me hunt you down. Seriously, all I'd have to do is jump on I-94 and come and find you. :P

Going into this game I knew the NL couldn't outslug the AL. Good God do they have a lineup. I figured the pitching would have to be better, but it hasn't been.

Alou and Sosa werent all that bad at the ASG last year. Yah, you're right - I guess I was thinking about all the times Sammy went there and looked overmatched One of my all-time favorite memories was Andre Dawson homering off of Roger Clemens in the 1991 game.

Just as easily? No. You don't go all out in spring training games, or at least vets with guaranteed spots don't. Guys will have to work out earlier, and they will wear down sooner. Seasons will be ruined. This is a bad idea if you are a fan of a major league baseball team who will have players in the event. I don't see how it's any worse of an idea than NBA players playing in the Olympics. It's the same situation, pretty much. -
Was it up around his eyes? I have never seen a player handle a face-high fastball better than Andre Dawson. Even though I worshipped him as a kid, I still have tons of man-love for the guy.

Don't bring him up until at least September. At least he's playing everyday in AA, which is something he won't do under Dusty. Start him next year at AAA, unless he has an otherworldly spring, and call him up if he proves he can handle AAA pitching.
