Just because he compiled his numbers quietly, without the media attention of a Mays or an Aaron doesn't mean he's not Hall worthy. He's been consistent nearly every year of his career. Just because he hasn't had a whole career of mind-blowing, gaudy numbers, or even a stretch of 4 or 5 years that way like Sammy had, doesn't mean he's not worthy either. He's just put up very good (but not great) numbers every single year. Consistency breeds winning. 3,000 hits and 500 homers is enough to do it, IMO, I don't care who you are or how much media attention you got or didn't get over your career.
