  1. alot of sheep rapings tonight....alot So those are your plans for this evening? Is the Brett Favre Press post game conference on yet? I'm anxious to hear the pity party, woah is me plea. he'll play the "i'm back, no i'm not, yes, i am... no i'm not" game. its great times for all of us. Does he start that already? probably not, but a bears fan can have some fun...right? No. Well. I'm officially done caring until March 31st. 70 days until Opening Day.
  2. Good call on Favre and the cold. :) He had a bad game, like Chicago, I'm sure that weather played a key role. I was more right about the running game. It came down to the running game, the Giants were able to attack on the ground and in the air and GB had to throw it in bad conditions against a D-Line with their ears pinned back. This was the key. After a while the Giants were just sitting back on the pass because we were able to do absolutely nothing on the ground.

I don't think he'll do that this year. I think he'll come back without too much thought.

Brett's not one to pass the blame. He'll admit he screwed up, and he'll take responsibility. The Packers played like crap today. They didn't deserve to win.

  6. On the plus side, you're a Cubs fan, so you should be able to handle heartbreak better than most. The Packers didn't deserve to win that game. There were a few drives they couldn't have stopped ME. Sickening. Absolutely sickening.
  7. When do single-game tickets of individual teams go on sale? I think this would be a good thread to have in case you want to catch the Cubs on the road and don't live in the Chicago area. First question: When do the Brewers single-game tickets go on sale?
  8. It's not so bad if you've lived in it your entire life. You learn how to properly layer clothing really quickly up here.
  9. Crap. Stupid Patriots and their stupid undefeated stupid record.
  10. ?? The Packers have played in cold weather before. Brett is awesome in cold weather in Lambeau. Did you miss the Packers game at Soldier? Did you miss the part where I said "in Lambeau?"

  12. Now for a serious post.... Yeah, I don't know exactly what it was that brought the Cowboys back down to earth, but they didn't look impressive at all the last few weeks, starting with the Detroit game in which they scored in the final minute. After that, they looked very beatable. I'm not a football "expert", I can't dissect a play or a team like I can in baseball, but maybe one of the more football-savvy NSBB'ers can explain why.
  13. HELLZ YEAH, BIATCHES!!!!! God damn does it feel good to see Tony [expletive] crash and burn for the second year in a row. HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!
  14. I'll put my perfect undefeated record of 0-0 on the line. I've been here since '04 and have yet to start a game thread. That ends in '08.
  15. If a company would buy the naming rights, and then just keep it named "Wrigley Field" just to keep the tradition alive, they would have a customer for life, even if I've never used their product or service before. I can guarantee you this would generate more publicity than if they'd just by the naming rights and name it after their company.
  16. Another one bites the dust.
  17. PLEASE don't open up that can of worms, or this thread will eclipse 200 pages in no time flat.
  18. There's no veteran election this year, I think. I think the revamped election begins with the next class. Correct. They voted on managers and executives this year, players next year. I think he gets in this time. I hope he's around to see himself get inducted. And then see the Cubs finally win the World Series that same year. He could live another 30 years and he'd still be smiling.
  19. Eck signed as a free agent, correct? If that's the case, I believe he can't be traded until June 1st at the earliest. Not that I'm saying the Cubs should get him or will even pursue him, or even that I want him. I just think that this is the rule.
  20. I don't know if I buy that Andy MacPhail is asking for Rich Hill. He'd be laughed off the telephone immediately. If they're asking for all that, Bedard better be coming over as well.
  21. That would be most ideal. If his home run numbers were what they were last year, then yes. If he hits 30-40 homers, I would hit him 3rd.
  22. Derrek Lee's a good bet to have the best OBP on the team, and a pretty decent bet to be the best hitter on the team. Dropping Lee in the order isn't good. He's our best all-around hitter (arguably). He should be 3rd, with ARam 4th and Fukudome 5th.
