    As Americans, we have a culture of "it'll NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN." It's in every facet of society, from the workplace to the classroom to sports and everywhere else. It's the main reason zero tolerance policies take effect and you hear about the occasional first grader who faces expulsion for bringing a plastic butter knife to school in his lunch bag. After the "atrocity" of the tie game a few years back, Selig and the owners banded together and said "IT'LL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN, DAMMIT!" and came up with this rule where Adrian Gonzalez could homer off of George Sherrill and it would win the game and determine where two completely different teams play the World Series. Brilliance, Bud! Sheer brilliance!

    Sorry to rehash this old argument, but how come people think Ted Williams would succeed in today's game, but Babe Ruth would wet his pants at the first Kerry Wood fastball? Either both would succeed, or both would fail.

    I'd yodel in her alps. the old dude threw some really nice ones in the first round. But, he lost it in the second and third.. He threw like 100 pitches. Dusty would start him tomorrow.

If this is the year the Cubs win the pennant, I sure hope the NL pulls it out. I'd love for Game 1 of the World Series to be in Wrigley. Imagine the atmosphere! Go NL and go all Cubs!
