Well, here we are, boys. We've waited since Opening Day for this. In some aspects, we've been waiting for this team all our lives. It was a hell of a regular season with a ton of memorable moments, but none of that counts anymore. Right now, the magic number is 11, and if the Cubs reduce that to zero, we'll all go on the biggest benders of our lives, and tell our grandchildren about it (the Cubs winning, that is. Not the benders.) For Game 1 in the beautiful monument to all things right and good, Wrigley Field, the Cubs throw Ryan Dempster http://assets.espn.go.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/6006.jpg 17-6, 2.96 ERA, 1.21 WHIP Opposing the Cubs will be Derek Lowe http://assets.espn.go.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/5801.jpg 14-11, 3.24 ERA, 1.14 WHIP I've got nothing against Derek Lowe, but I hope the Cubs beat him like a rented mule. I get chills thinking about the 2003 NLCS, hearing an entire stadium, and even the crowd out on Waveland Ave singing "Go Cubs Go" and I want to hear that again this year. Let's get it done, boys. Let's beat these guys!
