  1. You should never question the great Soto.
  2. Drugs are bad, mmmmmkay?
  3. The Cubs did it to themselves. It would be one thing if the games were low-scoring and close, but they played their worst two games of the season in games 1 and 2. If it was 5 or 7 games, the Cubs would still be in big trouble right now. This isn't the fault of the 5-game series. It's the fault of the supposed "best team" in the National League.
  4. ...it would be delaying the inevitable.
  5. Duh! I'd hope these mops are pissed! I actually would have expected them to be in a state of shock. But Kap said they are pissed and its pretty obvious. If it was me, I'd have been pissed after Game 1 when there was still a chance of coming back. Too little too late IMO
  6. In the regular season, yes. But in the postseason they're the same gutless chokers they've always been.
  7. No we can't. Not even the slightest chance. If we only lose by one, I'm declaring moral victory. I'm sure this will make a lot of people happy: If the Cubs come back to win this series, I will not post in any game threads for the duration of the NLCS.
  8. I didn't watch Game 3 last year. Just monitor it on the internet and flip it on if something good might be happening. Haha, you do this too? I do this all the time. I did it last night. I was at a friend's wedding for Game 3 last year. Every so often I'd sneak into the bar and check the score. I didn't miss anything.

  10. Yes. He should be giving all of his players big hugs and leading the team in a sing-along before they take the field. And after the game he can take them all out for pizza.
  11. They should line up, boo them back to the hotel, then line up and boo them all the way back to the airport, then rent private aircraft and fly beside the team jet, booing them all the way to LA. The Cubs wouldn't hear the booing on the plane, but at least the symbolism would be there.
  12. The Fish JUST signed him to a 6 year extension. Like four months ago. Dammit! We just missed our opportunity. That doesnt sound. like their MO. Oh well, back to ludicrous trade proposals. JR Mathes, Ryan Harvey, and Mark Pawelek for Grady Sizemore. Theriot and Fontenot for Hanley Ramirez and Dan Uggla.
  13. Agreed. Shame on you. Believing in the Cubs only causes pain. Whenever you feel yourself starting to believe, go hit your big toe with a hammer. It's about the same, but it's quicker.
  14. So who does everyone like in the NLCS? I say Phillies over Dodgers in 6.
  15. I hate baseball, I hate the Cubs, I hate my life and I hate God. All of them can go straight to hell. *sigh* Wait till next year. Again.
  16. Well, I'm going to work on my .432 career BA in career mode on MLB '08. Later all. I probably won't be in here Saturday night. I have better things to do, like smash my testicles with a sledgehammer.
  17. Yes. It's also possible that I win the lottery and terrorists blow up the Moon while I'm making sweet love to Scarlett Johannson.
  18. It doesn't matter anymore. They could put Mattingly out there on the mound for the rest of the game and the Cubs would still lose.
  19. This is high comedy. Newsflash - the Mets would have destroyed this bunch. A team of [expletive] chimps would be winning right now.
  20. Unless you're watching the Cubs, in which case bet the house, the car, the life savings, the wife, and the kids on the fact that they'll crap the bed when it counts the most.
  21. exactly. This was the year, the window is shrinking. This team is old. Lee is declining rapidly, Soriano is going to start declining soon, and we got never-going-to-happen against seasons from Edmonds, Dempster, Theriot, and Derosa. The window was now and they blew it. Just like they always have, and just like they always will. I was a fool for getting my hopes up this season. Never again though. I don't care if the Cubs win 145 games next year. I won't believe they can even get past the 1st round of the playoffs.
