Not just baseball. His voice on the NFL Films productions really made those much more interesting. He will certainly be missed. "The Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field" I never knew that was him.
Sad day for baseball, losing another of its classic voices. There aren't too many left. I feel that his kind of announcing (and Brickhouse's, Harry Caray's, etc) is a dying breed. Have a beer with Harry up there, Mr. Kalas. You've earned it.
