  1. He must have sat down next to Aaron Miles, eh? Haha, the presence of Aaron Miles is enough to make the players around him to suck as well He's like a black hole.
  2. He saw that the Cardinals lost, and remembered that he's a Cub. He's just doing what comes naturally for someone in his situation.
  3. $5 million well spent. I wish I could be that crappy at my job and make 1/100th of what Miles does. you can be crappy at a job and easily make $25,000 in a year Your math is off. he's making $2,500,000 this year, right? I thought it was 5,000,000. If not, I retract my statement. edit: 2/4.9. I was wrong. I thought it was 5 million per year, not the total amount of the contract.
  4. I still say he missed his calling working at Stats Inc.

  6. Damn you're quick. You're like the ball/strike guy in the scoreboard at wrigley. He has it up there in the blink of an eye.
  7. I have a feeling it will be. We have a golden opportunity, therefore nothing will come easy tonight.
  8. Is "tired arm" another word for "crappiness?"
  9. $5 million well spent. I wish I could be that crappy at my job and make 1/100th of what Miles does.
  10. Fonty had to be called off of that one, too.
  11. If I had 24 of my teammates in close proximity to me, I wouldn't sweat it too much.
  12. That's a Dusty move, when he'd have Ordonez, Bynum, or Neifi in the 2 hole.
  13. Ok, the Cards did their part.... I just hope we're not the Cobs tonight.
  14. Yeah right. They just put up 7 in 9 innings against Johan Santana and K Rod. We are going to have to win to keep pace. That really pissed me off last night. They have to be due for a cold stretch. Tony LaRussa sold his soul to Satan. That's the only explanation. That's just flat out ignorant, erik. Tony LaRussa IS Satan. I stand corrected.

  17. That would certainly make up for losing that last game to the Marlins. That game didn't happen.
  18. I'm not ready to write them off, but they are getting very close to dropping out of the race. Frankly, I'm surprised they hung around as long as they have with the extreme lack of pitching they've had. Losing both Sabathia and Sheets was too much to overcome.
