Off days suck. They especially suck early in the season. I'm glad we're all done with the off day in the middle of a series crap for the rest of the season now (barring a rainout, of course.) Go Cubs. Let's get back to .500! -
Pretty good outing today. Hoping Lee isn't out more than a game or two, if at all.

Can we just forget that Milton ever existed? Clubhouse chemistry is incredibly overrated. Let's just take it for what it is--- a horrible deal for a guy coming off of a great year in a hitter's park who just happens to be completely nuts. And he's gone now. Stop talking about him.

I don't get this either. But hey a line out DP and the game is over! Jesus. He has only pitched in two games coming into today and if he didn't pitch today he would have at least 4 days between outings. Pitching anyone other than Marmol here would have been the wrong move. I see how you could make the mistake, but I prefer to go by Erik.

Never been a fan of using the closer in a non-save situation, unless he needs work, which Marmol doesn't. I don't like this.

would you have rather had Samardzija vs. Braun? I think me vs. Braun would be more favorable.

Fielder has the current consecutive games played lead at only 192. I would have thought the leader in that category would have a higher total than that. Maybe it's just me. Just something that strikes me as odd is all.

So Nady can go to 1st. Nady's been at first since the 5th inning. Oh, my bad. Just casually following on Gameday. Then I guess it's just because Soriano sucks at D. Nady went to 1st after Lee left with his thumb thing.

Anyone have his pitch count? It was in the low 90's at the end of the 5th. With the way he was struggling I didn't think he should have been back out there to let them any further in the game, but he got out of the 6th and is probably done for the day now.
