  1. I know Ron is under the weather, but I find it humorous that his hatred for the Mets runs so deep that he refuses to even go to New York when the Cubs play them.
  2. Losing 2 out of 3 to a terrible team at home? Not good. Win, idiots. I hate you all.
  3. 1) You can get MLBtv for 20 bucks? Where? 2) Dude, not even I've given up on the season yet, although my hopes weren't high to begin with. 3) Prepare for the firestorm of hate to be thrown your way for posting something even the least bit negative.
  4. Joe Cowley pitched a no-hitter in the 80's walking 7 and giving up a run, I think.
  5. Why? Because they can win 2 of 3 from a terrible team?
  6. I hope tomorrow's goes super-long too so the Mets are completely gassed by Monday.
  7. Let's go Cardinals! This is the only time in my life that I have ever said that sentence.
  8. Didn't Dusty do that to Harang a year or two ago? Yeah it was a game in SD, he was coming off a 100+ pitch start and then I want to say pitched 30-40 pitches in extras on 3 or less days rest. I believe he also made his next scheduled start. And then his arm fell off.
  9. Didn't Dusty do that to Harang a year or two ago?
  10. A bunt with 3 errors on the same play that turns into a run.
  11. David Ross hit his first career home run off of Mark Grace. I remember that game. Gracie was in there hamming it up on the mound, doing his best Mike Fetters impression.
  12. This is the game that never ends, my friend....
  13. Can you imagine if one of the Mets would hit a home run? Years from now telling their grandkids about it: "Yeah, I remember the longest game I ever played in. I hit the go-ahead home run in the top of the 20th off of a guy who normally played shortstop" "Grandma, Grandpa is off his meds again!"
  14. Yet another position player taking the mound.
  15. All the players have died, and this game is actually being played in Hell.
  16. Scoreless games like that always make me think back to a Cubs-Phillies game back in like 1991 or 1992 where the final score was 1-0 after 18 innings of play. Nothing really significant about that game other than it's the first game I remember going scoreless for that long.
  17. Only 6 pages for a Saturday afternoon game? Geez.
  18. You could bounce a quarter off that ass
  19. I missed the entire game. Saw D-Lee went deep again and that Silva was great again. How did the pen look, and how was Soriano? Thanks.
  20. He got tossed for arguing balls and strikes.
