  1. I don't get this FO and coaching staff, Thomas Graham was not great by any stretch last year but he was clearly better than Vildor. Him staying on the roster and getting PT reminds of Qasim Mitchell false starting every snap.
  2. The Bears will now score -16.
  3. This is one of those games where the Bears win 16-13. I hope I'm wrong.
  4. Top 2, I'm more optimistic about other teams overpaying for a QB. If that happens (unless Carter or Anderson is on the board), I take best offensive player available (Johnson) or OT. If the Bears draft 3-5, I'm likely going BPA unless some team makes a great offer
  5. Watching Simien this Sunday might be a reminder why it's probably a good idea to have your backup have a similar but not as good skill set as your starter. Next draft if Tyler Shough is there 5-7, it would be worth the investment.
  6. On the plus side, Fields should be able to avoid any hits during practice this week. Getsy would find a way.
  7. This is more of an indictment of the quality within this organization. If they're playing that gamesmanship nonsense, it won't matter in the outcome of the game. Fields is still hurt and Simien is still bad.
  8. 2-1-1 last week. FCS playoffs start. I tend to avoid rivalry games. I'm intrigued by Iowa/Neb with Iowa covering but that says more about Nebraska, which gives me pause.
  9. Anderson and Payne (FA) would be amazing.
  10. Yeah it’s funny. It’s a tank season but there is an alternate reality out there where the Bears are like 6-5 or 7-4 because they didn’t make a bunch of dumb plays to lose the game. But then again they made those dumb plays because they lack talent but you get what I mean. Imagine how different the narrative is if they’re 6-5 with Fields doing what he’s done. That's what gives me hope. They are losing close games and I believe that's a good sign for future success of young teams who are building. It should make a huge difference when they are able to field a professional defense and an offense that can execute a simple normal drop back pass. Drafting 3rd compared to 2nd is huge as far as draft capital and trades. If the Bears do get around 3-4, I stay there and draft Anderson or Carter.
  11. Right now, it's #3. Plenty of time to catch them. Sitting Fields will help this franchise in several ways.
  12. It should have dropped a few minutes later too.
  13. Good regarding the legs, not good at all regarding the shoulder. I know it's his non throwing shoulder but still... Sit him out please.
  14. Sorry I don't sound reasonable but I still can't believe they called two designed runs with an injured franchise QB down by 3 under 2 minutes during a tank season (4 games under .500). It's unforgivable, IMO.
  15. It'd help save him long-term. Hopefully, this ends the designated run nonsense. Given when they called it (behind with an injured QB), I doubt they're that smart. Fields could only hide their incompetence for so long. I think a couple designed runs a game is fine but they seemed to be relying on it as much as possible today. That is not fine. He’s gonna get plenty of yards on scrambles too They expected it. His yards came from scrambles. Doing it a handful of times especially red zone and goal is different than making him a featured back like today. Plus, Atlanta is terrible against the pass and short passes worked the limited amount they went 3 step.

  17. This team is horribly coached.
  18. horsefeathering unbelievable.
  19. horsefeathering stupid. That gets coaches fired.
  20. They should have. Of course, Atlanta should have let it go to two minutes.
  21. That was the game.
  22. He has a really bad tendency to wait too long for some giant hole to develop, and all it does is give the defense time to end the play. Yeah, he's also not fast or powerful enough to be that type of runner.
  23. Ebner is not a capable backup.
  24. 2nd and 15 down by 7 in the 4th and a run...
  25. He’s going to need to fit it into tight coverage because I don’t think receivers are getting open very often. Which is sad given how bad the pass defense is.
