  1. Anyone posting anything trying to excuse or downplay Chapman's actions can go horsefeathers themselves. You're part of the problem concerning DV and athletes/celebrities. I ignored a lot of garbage players and rooted for them as a kid because I didn't know any better. But I'm a horsefeathering adult now and I'm livid that the Cubs would trade for this POS human being. He will just be a nameless player on this team to me. What a slap in the face (no pun intended) to female Cubs fans. But I'm sure the Cubs won't have any problem trying to profit off women with pink gear (maybe a pink Chapman shirsey?) and Mother's Day uniforms in the future.

  3. I don't think he'd be into that.
  4. I'm just shocked he knew which dugout to run to after that collision.
  5. He can't even do hashtags correctly. What a "get off my lawn" racist old man. [tweet]https://twitter.com/isringhausenj/status/652654182101614592[/tweet]
  6. FYI, DirecTV is having one of their free MLB EI weeks through Thursday. I'm watching there rather than with my MLBTV and it's nice to not be 3 pitches behind. Also the picture quality is really good.

  8. Thanks for posting those videos, guys. Fun memories. I had the Cardinals 5-run game on DVD at one time but I have no idea where it is now. :(
  9. Not sure why I remember this, but game 4 vs. ATL: Robert Fick running into Eric Karros during a play at 1st base.
  10. Chris Berman puts it all in perspective... http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/09/chris-berman-and-trent-dilfer-interrupt-their-thoughts-on-ray-rice-for-a-blocked-punt
  11. Am I missing a joke here? No, I'm glad they want to keep the guy playing but how long do they go on sitting him every 3 days? How's that not a legit question? He's battled nagging injuries and was in the minors where games don't count. Why would you expect him to sit in the majors? It's not like these August and September games count either. Hopefully next year will be a different story.
  12. In the South Carolina-Campbell game, South Carolina tried a hit and run with a runner on 1st. Batter swung and missed and the runner got caught in a rundown and was tagged out, but the umps called the batter out on batter interference and returned the runner to 1st. After a lengthy discussion between the Campbell coach and the home plate ump, all of the umpires have run off the field to go check the rule book. College baseball, never change. EDIT: They returned the runner to first and the batter got a strike. The umps had to call the NCAA head of umpires. Apparently that's the correct call and could have been procured in a 5 second Google search instead of a 10+ minute delay. Campbell is now playing the game under protest (daggum right they gon' protest).
  13. Scott Brooks after his team lost by 30: http://i757.photobucket.com/albums/xx217/exileingirlville/Bart.jpg
  14. Woo, Bruce Ellington is the first South Carolina basketball player to be drafted since Renaldo Balkman in 2006. This video clip with Ellington is still hilarious two seasons later: http://deadspin.com/5943840/heres-a-south-carolina-trainer-eyefucking-bruce-ellington Also pretty cool having the #1 pick in the draft.
  15. Some fireworks late in the South Carolina-Clemson game this afternoon. Clemson coach Jack Leggett comes out to argue a call on a play at the plate while play is still live. He touches his catcher to tell him to throw it to 3rd because the runners are advancing while they're arguing with the ump. Runner is out at 3rd but the Clemson player talks trash and benches clear. Clemson loses 10-2 and their coach is the whiniest bitch who's ever bitched. Here's are the multiple Vines of the play:
  16. KONY 2014?
  17. Spurrier's best team at USC lost to a lowly ACC team in their bowl game. They weren't THAT good. Spurrier's best team at South Carolina was one of the teams from these past three years (2011 - this season) and certainly not the 2010 team in Lattimore's freshman year that went 9-5. Sorry I'm a week late but I must defend the [expletive]' good name.
  18. The perfect Christmas gift for the Bears fan in your family. Only one day left to order though. http://teespring.com/airjeffery
  19. The final scores of both games would make a big difference, but I think Auburn and South Carolina would be very close to each other for that 2nd spot. I can't remember the obligation of the bowls when it comes to the standings, but if they can the Sugar might pick Auburn anyways even if USC was slightly in front in the standings. It hinges on USC winning their game against Clemson and a few other games going their way (Alabama beating Auburn, Mizzou beating A&M, and Alabama beating Mizzou in the SECCG next weekend), but I really hope they can make it to the Sugar Bowl. If I had to choose one, I'd rather watch them play in the Sugar Bowl than the SECCG. I don't want to watch them lose the SECCG to Alabama and then play in the Outback Bowl for the 5th time since 2001.
  20. Vandy's reputation has definitely taken a hit these days, especially considering their rape scandal.
  21. South Carolina and Missouri play for the "Battle of Columbia" trophy. Shocked you weren't aware of this long standing rivalry.
  22. Just looking at this from a business aspect, who the hell is advising this guy? He very well might be that one guy every year who sits there on draft night in a suit watching player after player get picked in front of him. But yeah, he seems like a total douche in the mold of Albert Haynesworth or John L Sullivan. Jesus H. How freaking bad at journalism is ESPN? Almost unwatchable. As a side note, even though Clay Travis is a moron the FS1 college football morning show is worlds better than that idiocy over on College Gameday. You just compared a college kid to head-stomping Albert Haynesworth and then gloss over it by blaming it on ESPN? Please. Um, no. Those were 2 different posts making 2 different comments. ESPN had reported that Clowney didn't ride on the team bus. I made a comment. ESPN then retracted that report. I then made a different comment about that. It is possible that both Clowney AND ESPN suck in their own unique ways. http://rlv.zcache.com/reading_is_fundamental_puzzle-r8176a084d6304804b2846d7a73a49ee1_amb07_8byvr_324.jpg Oh, I can read. I was just giving you the benefit of the doubt that you were taking back your silly comment comparing Clowney to some actual douches after ESPN's report came out as false. My mistake. Besides, what has he actually done that compels you to compare him to a class act like Haynesworth? He didn't "allegedly" rape someone like Zack Mettenberger, he didn't steal laptops like Cam Newton, and he didn't yell homophobic slurs in the middle of a school play about Matthew Shepard like those Ole Miss players. I'm sure you know Clowney well enough to know how he's a "total douche."
  23. Don't look now but Clemson is Clemsoning. 7-3 Boston College (!) at the half.
