    How does Leno make you think? I want examples, because his comedy seems so incredibly basic and simple to me that the only thing I think is "why am I watching this?" Conan gets my vote. Jon Stewart though is terrific, it'd be hard to choose between the two.

    It's true Cedeno could play SS next year, but say we take Walkers option (which we should) and either resign Nomar or sign Furcal with Neifi possibly going elsewhere to start for more money, Cedeno then becomes your main MI backup. He's not necessarily going to learn 2B to start there next year, I don't think it necessarily means he's out of the race to start at SS next year. I'd much rather have Todd Walker at 2B than Ronny Cedeno, though.

    i think theres a chance that might have something to do with who pitches when those guys catch. I agree. I'm glad the pitchers gave you this insightful piece of information. :roll: I love it when people make stuff up to try to support their stance. What does that say to you that those pitchers that you mentioned would rather have Blanco, a FAR superior defensive Catcher than Barrett, catching for them? I never thought, even the most loyal kool aid drinking Cubs fans, would actually defend Barrett's Defensive abilities, but yet, they have. and when did I make something up? If your reading comprehension was a little better, you'd plainly see that that was my opinion. Next time you watch a Cub game (guessing you don't actually watch many Cub games if you feel Barrett isn't a bonehead) take a look when he goes to the mound. He is NOT in control and his head will be down and his body language will be negative. He does not have a catchers mindset and that is my opinion. You don't like it, that's fine with me, sport. You don't see too many people being condescending to teacher's about reading comprehension. Since someone disagrees with you, that gives you the right to be classless?

    He isn't blocking Pie. Felix is probably out of the year. Based on the minor league director's (Oscar something - I can never remember his last name) comments in today's Trib, there's an outside shot that he could get a Sept. call up. He's supposed to start playing this week, of I remember right. Oneri Fleita

    They don't have anyone that would make us give up Pie. If Hendry wouldn't part with Hill for a guy like Dunn, who would he part with Pie for?

Here's my 25 man roster: Lineup: (1) Lawton - LF (2) Walker - 2B (3) Lee - 1B (4) Ramirez - 3B (5) Burnitz - CF (6) Garciaparra - SS (7) Barrett - C (8) Murton - RF Starters: (9) Prior (10) Zambrano (11) Maddux (12) Hill (13) Williams Relief: (14) Dempster (15) Wood (16) Williamson (17) Rusch (18) Ohman (19) Novoa Bench: (20) Blanco (21) Hollandsworth (22) Hairston (23) McClain (24) Fontenot (25) Perez The only problem I see is that the only OF on the bench really is Holla. Hairston can back up at CF, but essentially you have 4 IF, 1 Catcher, and 1 OF. I wouldn't mind McClain being replaced with Grieve, who could be a solid bat off the bench.

    Why would the Twins trade him? They need offense badly, not pitching. It makes very little sense. No wonder its being reported on the Score.

    I disagree. When a player is young like Murton and is developing, it is best that he gets to play everyday and to develop and mature as a player. You don't learn much sitting on the bench. He will have to hit righties some day, he needs to play now.

    I don't think pitching on consecutive days is going to make Kerry's shoulder problems go away. Making him a reliever won't cure his health problems. I really hope we don't overpay for a Burnett or Schmidt...
