  1. Until the single I wondered if the people at Wrigley knew there was a game going on
  2. OK. Then let's give everyone a current events test as they come through the turnstyles at Wrigley. You don't know the latest stats? Out-ski!!! Some fans are stupid. So what. You wanna be successful in the big leagues? Learn to overcome it. That's the whole point here. We're covering for CPatt's fragile psyche (it seems). If it needs covering (which I'm not sure of yet), then maybe he's not our guy. I have thought the fans seem like rear ends on this issue, why do we feal like we are entitled to anything? we are coming out of this looking like Phillie and Yankee fans. I just do not understand the logic. When you are at home you shouldn't get treated like it is an away game. Maybe the issue isn't the players but the "fans" For the record, I only wrote the bolded text

  4. If fans are going to boo, they at least should know something about statistics. The same people that boo CPatt are the same people buying Neifi Perez rookie cards. Ugh, 1-0
  5. Yikes, let's not advance a runner on the throwback to the pitcher
  6. When I went to Wrigley I was really disappointed in how the fans were treating Cub players. It was sad that many of the Cub fans were more harsh on Cun players than White Sox players.
  7. DJAXX will trade a gift certificate of the recipient's choice for an autographed baseball from George. Unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to go to the game tomorrow.
  8. Maybe SportsCenter will do an interview on NSBB and get us some national exposure
  9. Well, LaRussa should've thought about all of that before wanting to go to the World Series
  10. Thanks for the update. Long time no see!
  11. I bid $10! For what it's worth I picked up a game used baseball from Jackie Robinson Day 2004 when the Cubs beat the Pirates. Barrett hit 2 HR's and Z got the win. I was pretty excited about it.
  12. Very untouchable. I can't imagine the backlash that would happen if Santo became a target.
  13. An awful Manager with a championship. Agreed, DJAXX, but did Brenly really do anything the propelled them to a championship, or did he ride two horses to a title? I know one thing, I will never forget the look on Brenly's face when BK blew the second consecutive game. Classic. I agree with you and see where you're going. Our awful manager had 2 horses as well in 2003 and couldn't get it done with a 3-1 lead. Maybe our awful manager can get a title too

  15. I enjoy listening to Len and Bob, although I wish they could recognize when a ball is leaving the park. In any case, Ron Potesta is still the man.
