    My understanding is that we are getting someone from Boise before our game here on Wednesday, but that may not be accurate....And from what I heard on the bus, Daytona has a pitcher who just underwent an appendectomy and that is the reason for the move. Talked to Bo down in Daytona, he said the player who had the appendectomy is Clay Rapada

    You must not have been watching the same game that I was watching. In the game that I was watching, Corey was thrown out at the plate despite the fact that Prior hit a ground ball to the right side. How could he have been "just about hit by the swing" and yet still get thrown out on a ground ball to the right side? On the play Dusty was upset about Prior slapped the ball foul, which was before he hit the ball to the right side. I'm pretty sure that's the way it happened.

    From what I've read the stadium will be blown up 20 days after the final game is played. You have to remember that all of the seats from the park have been sold and they'll need a chance to get all of them out as well as anything else that they plan to keep/donate/auction for charity. They money raised from the opportunity to blow up the stadium will go to Cardinals Care and the United Way.

    I'm wondering the same thing. That subject was brought up before the game started. The beat writer was ripping on Corey about fundamentals before the game. His comments were to the point of "MLB players should know the fundamentals by the time they are in MLB." I agree with that to an extent, but just because they should know them then that doesn't mean that you shouldn't go over the basics from time to time. The messed up squeeze play frustrated Dusty but I thought it was Prior's fault. Even with a "late jump" even Len mentioned that Corey just about got hit by the swing.

    Pardon me for being dense, but why does it matter? The DJaxx won the first half of the season, if I remember correctly... if they're already in the playoffs, what does the overall record matter? Is it for home-field advantage? And if so, considering that nobody goes to games in Jackson, does home-field really matter? The Jaxx currently host games 1 & 2 in Jackson and games 3-5 are scheduled for Zebulon. If the Jaxx win the second half, they get to host game 3 in Jackson, giving them a possibility to not have to travel 11 hours to Zebulon. I think they will have several for the playoff games. In fact, I just received my complimentary ticket vouchers this past week for game 2 of the playoffs!
