  1. Add Elvis to Ron's list of impersonations, bringing the list to Harry Caray, Rodney Dangerfield and Elvis.
  2. *rolling* I have a feeling that there will be more than that joining the site! Thank you so much!
  3. Craig with a single, 6-5 Jaxx
  4. Sweet! Thanks, Nathan! I look forward to having some of the folks from the Peoria area joining us here at NSBB!
  5. Sisk with a sac fly getting Nolasco off the hook, 5-5!
  6. Casey McGehee with an RBI double, 5-4 Mobile
  7. Ouch. Rough start. He needs 30 K's to tie the Jaxx record for K's in a season.
  8. Line for Nolasco: 3.1 IP, 5 R (4 ER), 7 H, BB, 5 K's
  9. Ugh, to the bottom of the 4th, Jaxx down 5-3
  10. It sounded like Sing had it! :x
  11. Thanks, Ron, you are the man! Next Friday is going to be wild!
  12. Nolasco is back in the league lead with K's in the SL. Ricky fanned 4 in the first 2 IP via the K looking!
  13. Thanks, ma'am, I appreciate it. Whatever it is came fast. I got up with a little bit of a sore throat but I'm feeling pretty rought right now. That was great!
  14. SING GOES YARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. It's strange how good the Jaxx are and have no support. If the day comes that they leave I can't say I blame the organization, they're doing their part on and off the field.
  16. Nolasco gets out of a major jam in the first (29 pitches). With the bases loaded and 2 outs he gets a foul, called strike and called strike to get out of the inning only giving up 1 run.
  17. Couldn't make it to Jackson tonight. Apparently I've caught a bug going around. Nolasco is having a rough 1st, the bullpen is up for the Jaxx
  18. Very cool, a fellow collector for me to talk to about memorabilia!
  19. Congratulations to the Daytona Cubs! Here is a press release from Bo: CUBS BREAK SINGLE-SEASON ATTENDANCE RECORD Following Wednesday night’s game against Vero Beach, Daytona set a new single season benchmark for attendance at Jackie Robinson Ballpark DAYTONA BEACH, Fla—The Daytona Cubs Professional Baseball Team is pleased to announce that they have officially set a new single-season attendance record at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in 2005. Following Game 2 of a three-game series against the Vero Beach Dodgers on Wednesday night, the Cubs 2005 season attendance total climbed to a record number of 110,869. With official Florida State League attendance records kept for the city of Daytona Beach since 1946, this year’s mark has now eclipsed the franchise’s previous single-season record of 110, 223 fans set just a year ago in 2004. “Our entire staff is extremely proud of the way the community has continued to embrace this organization,” said Daytona Cubs General Manager Bill Papierniak. “We have worked harder than ever this season through numerous ballpark renovations and new promotions to create a safe and clean atmosphere for affordable family fun, and it’s refreshing to see that we have had the whole-hearted support of our fans.” The new franchise attendance record comes just months after a rigorous off-season in Daytona that included a 1.5 million dollar stadium renovation at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The renovations included a new river walk, updated lighting system, remodeled home clubhouse for the Cubs players, retro Chicago Cubs style manual scoreboard, a new picnic area and renovated bathroom & concession stand facilities. “We would like to once again thank all the fans, the city of Daytona Beach, the Robinson family and everyone else involved who has made this 2005 campaign a huge success,” said Papierniak. “The wonderful response that we have received at the ballpark this year has certainly provided us with a solid foundation that we can build on for future seasons,” said Papierniak. “I’ve been here for several years now and the support from the fans has always been outstanding…but this year especially,” added Cubs manager Richie Zisk. “It’s always nice for the players to have the opportunity to play in front of such enthusiastic fans every single night.” The Daytona Cubs have been an Advanced-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs in the Florida State League since 1993, and have been operating under the ownership of Andrew Rayburn—the founder of a Chagrin Falls, Ohio based LLC “Big Game Capital”—since 2000.
  20. Don't forget the new q & a sessions with the Peoria Chiefs!
  21. They need to get it! I'd love having three teams in the playoffs to follow (Diamond Jaxx, Chicago Cubs)
  22. For the record, I love David Kelton. In addition, I don't like this line: If you want to provide some stats then I'm all about that. However, I don't like hearing an argument against a guy for being a "dope" as he is being called.
  23. Pathetic. It is. FWIW I'm not sure if school was in session or not in the Madison County area.
  24. I'm a fan of collecting sports memorabilia. Are you a collector? If you are, how has being in broadcasting helped your collection?
  25. Shouldn't it be a Harvey Wall banger? Has more pizzazz. Either way it's great to see our NSBB Correspondents getting it done!
