  1. Greetings all. I wanted to see what type of interest there would be in a night for as many NSBB members to meet up and enjoy a Jaxx game. Everyone is encouraged to give your thoughts as well as possible dates that you could attend. Here's the 2006 Southern League schedule
  2. I take a minor league managers record different than I do a Major League manager. I know here in Syracuse the Jays always had a lot of young good prospects here and they didn't win but a lot of them went on to help the Jays win the World Series. I want a good teacher at the minors. Agreed, I was just throwing some information. I know in the past it's been said more than once down here that it's more about delevoping players than getting wins, although wins are nice.
  3. I thought this was amusing. On Wednesday, BallPark Digest posted this article about the possibility of the Jaxx relocating to Orlando in 2007. One of the writers for the Sun responded to that article and included the following lines: Ballpark Digest responded to the Sun with the following comments in their article:
  4. *points to the sig*
  5. Fixed :(
  6. You'll still do the minor league stuff though, right? Of course! :D I can't wait for the nightly box score & discussions threads in the minor league forum!
  7. But that's for 2 bricks! (yes, I'll be placing an order)
  8. Sorry if this has been discussed, but I wasn't aware of this. Here's the Link.
  9. Personally I'm a fan of memorabilia in the form of jerseys and game used stuff, but I love autographs obtained in person and framed pieces. In regards to jerseys, I go the route of a big jersey display with a hinged opening. Rather than pay a ton of money for one jersey to get framed, I change out the display.
  10. Here's a picture of Pie showing off his championship rings.
  11. This picture was posted on the Jaxx photo album as one of the best of 2005.
  12. WOW! Now that's a catch! A coupon Cecil Fielder didn't use himself. Gold star.
  13. I see he has a career Managing record of 189-228. Richie Zisk (former Manager) will still be there, but he'll be the Hitting Instructor.
  14. He'll be at AAA with Alan Dunn, who was also promoted from AA.
  15. I would say get it appraised, and take out an insurance policy on that thing just in case of fire, theft, etc. That is worth some bucks. Agreed. To get an idea, do an ebay search of completed auctions for a certified autograph of each of those guys. Add the total and then add a ton since all of their signatures are on the same item.
  16. Oh, we pitty you so.....:x :D I figured I'd throw that in so folks don't think I'm taking advantage of it.
  17. One of the perks of being so close to AA ball over the years (pre media pass) was the ability to talk to players and get things signed.
  18. For the full article, click here.
  19. Count me in.
  20. Hey Ron, good to see you online. Hopefully all of the junk is over and we can start looking forward to Diamond Jaxx baseball!
  21. Nice recap, it sounds like you had a great time. Much appreciation!
  22. Awesome. Maybe that's why Jim didn't want to do a Q & A, ha ha.
  23. Here's how that list will look this November
  24. 2-3 in '05 :jive:
