Although I dont know how the hell we got from looking for Osama in Afghanistan to looking for Saddam in Iraq.. It did do some good. Both countries we attacked, are also getting better. We are banishing the Taliban, and giving people more freedoms. Seeing an Iraqi soccer team for the 2004 Summer Olympics really made me proud of this country. "If America was a cake, it would be a big ass chocolate cake with extra frosting... AND EVERYBODY LOVES CHOCOLATE CAKE!" - Rough quote from that one movie. But really, being the most powerful country in the world, it is our right, and our duty to help out other countries that are totally screwed up & less fortunate. We're not doing this for ourselves, but we still gain respect. We also shouldnt expect anything back from the countries because they cant help themselves in the first place. If its not worth the lives lost, then US could've increased it's security even more instead of just attacking Iraq.. Well thats my .02.

August of 2004... Started the month off by getting on base for Nomar's first Cubs AB. He had a spectacular month, getting 40 hits, and hitting .340 I believe.

I hope Welly doesn't read this board. He's gonna think no one likes him. Todd deserves to be in an organziation that would likely have a plan for him. He'd be closer to his hometown as well. What's his hometown?

-I dont like waiting all day in the summer to watch baseball. -Wrigley is meant to be played in the day. It just is. Thats probably why it was one of the last parks to get lights. -More dangerous at night before, during, and especially after the game. -Dark skinned players play better in the heat.

Patterson for ICHIRO :roll: But really, I hope it's Manny, despite the rumors he wants to stay now. Remember last year at the Cubs convention they said Sosa wont get traded? And within a few weeks he was on his way to Baltimore.

Sounds good. He can be a good back-up for Lee and Ramirez when they need rest. Yes, the guy can run and "he can catch the ball." He should definately be on the Cubs. -
