  1. Lol. Little is still younger than Morningstar. Brady is like 5 months younger than Deron Williams. Haha, that's true. I forgot, Morningstar did a year of prep school, too. Dom Sutton is JUST as old! Next year we'll look like this, one hell of a deep team: PG: Russell (Soph)/Irving (Soph)/Spradling(Fr) SG: Pullen (Sr)/McGruder (Soph)/Southwell (Fr) SF: Sutton (Sr)/Samuels (Jr)/Southwell (Fr) PF: Kelly(Sr)/Judge(Soph) C: Asprilla (Jr)/Henriquez-Roberts (Soph) The loss of Clemente is huge, but we are a very strong 2 deep at every single position. I can't wait to see how much Judge and Kelly improve after a year, as well as how McGruder improves. We're going to be pretty nasty. It's nice to have something to look forward to! Outside of Clemente we're only losing Colon and Merriewether. Colon is addition by subtraction anyway, imo. I don't really see what he brings to the table.

  3. If there's a year for KState to steal the North, next year is it. KU loses Collins, 99% sure we lose Aldrich, 95% sure we lose Henry. Outside chance we lose McMorris. We'll still have: G Taylor (Jr) G Morningstar (18th year Sr) G Reed (Sr) F Mc Morris (Jr) F/C Mk Morris (Jr) Honestly, Reed and Morningstar are better suited as role players. We'll need better players to step into their roles. A lot of our success will depend on the growth of: F Thomas Robinson (So)--Superb athlete. Better offensive game than I thought. Plays too fast. Intense rebounder. C Jeff Withey (So)--Could be a big time shot blocker. Needs strength in a big way. G Elijah Johnson (So)--Best athlete on the team. 5* Recruit who didn't see the floor much. Needs to develop PG skills. G/W Travis Releford (Jr)--Great athlete. Redshirted this year. Hope he developed a shot and some handles. We'll need an athletic wing. SF Mario Little (Sr)--100 years old. Redshirt Juco transfer. I like his game, but I don't think he can play the three, and that's where he could crack the rotation. We also still have a shot at Josh Selby (kind of a taller sherron) and Brandon Knight (he'll go to UK). Either would start from day one.
  4. KU took 2/3 from #1 (and unbeaten) LSU. I think the tigers were without a couple of key players, though. Still, pretty cool.
  5. karma for the 2008 team getting to play 16. portland state 8. unlv 12. villanova 10. davidson . And then beating two #1 seeds for the title.
  6. There's not enough coke in the entire state to support Quin.
  7. I think a lot of people feel UK will crap the bed once they play a good team. Their schedule did not prepare them very well. Of course, I said the same thing about Memphis in 2008 (though their noncon was tougher than UK's.)
  8. Scott Drew is a total slimeball.
  9. Here is why Illinois is hard to recruit to: 1) The CPL has never been friendly to us, especially after the Jimmy Collins fiasco. You've got to pay if you want the players. 2) Illinois cannot afford to get it's hands dirty. There is a long history of violations, and the NCAA sees us in that light. The pay to play garbage is such a cop-out. I'm eager to hear the Illini backpedaling once they do land a couple of CPL kids. Somehow, they'll be doing it the right way, I'm sure. Or they'll have gotten the kids who don't have their hands out. But anyone who goes elsewhere was probably dirty and taking cash under the table.
  10. I just want to be on the record one more time as a whiny baby about KU's bracket. One interesting thing to note, the last three teams to beat us are all in it (Tennessee, OK State, and MSU [last year].)
  11. They got the best 2 seed. It's ridiculous So many power conference teams, too. Kind of frustrating. MSU, Georgetown, tOSU, Tennessee.... lots of good teams. Won't matter LeHigh is gonna beat you. our last 1st round run-in with a Patriot League team didn't go so hot.

  13. I hate KU's bracket. I see losses at every turn. UNI is exactly the kind of game I wanted to avoid.
  14. I've grown to dislike UI, largely because of how their fans have talked about KU, but they should've been in.
  15. seems like the west bracket is easier than the midwest
  16. ruh-roh. minny in too.
  17. kentucky does more posturing than any other team. i look forward to their sweet 16 flameout.
  18. varnardo looks like a zombie at this point
  19. what was with the takedown on w/ varnardo and orton? one of those guys had to be fouling.
  20. Yes, but I think UK think they won. Math is hard. i've never seen a team celebrate a tie game like that.
  21. I'd rather not have a team like ND in the second round.
  22. Jimmy Dykes is the worst. Cousins should have been T'd up about 17 times now.
  23. jamar samuels is a pretty good player.
  24. I really didn't want to play KSU again.
  25. i was thinking the same thing
