  1. he sure can push the ball
  2. wow the refs are totally jobbing Tennessee
  3. Tough break for Mizzou. Sounds like Safford tore his ACL yesterday, and they still have KSU and KU coming up.
  4. As usual, I read through this thread and assumed UI was losing. Wrong again.
  5. Doesn't leave many games for a Mizzou fan to watch. Doesn't seem right to deprive us of Bradley or Bucknell, I know. The Memphis game from last year will do just fine. Denmon's about to hit a 75 footer. Rather watch KU lose than Mizzou win. Sounds like the standard MU fan.
  6. Doesn't leave many games for a Mizzou fan to watch.
  7. I think there have been a couple of Big 12 teams that missed with 10 wins. Maybe Colorado and KSU? Baylor? Dunno.
  8. He can't control the fact that he's the missing link on the evolutionary scale. That was a very satisfying win. Needed it badly, and Texas came unglued which made it all the more satisfying. Can someone explain? I meant JT Tiller, not Joe Tiller. TT just knew who I was talking about.
  9. No. It seems like the more talent Barnes has, the worse he does.
  10. How is the top of JT Tiller's head not a personal foul?
  11. Wow. Imagine that. Missouri hacks constantly and doesn't get called for it.
  12. So a 4/5 seed right now will beat them? Right now according to Lunardi 4/5 seeds are: New Mexico Vanderbilt (who they already beat) Pittsburgh Gonzaga BYU Texas Wake Forest Temple Out of those teams I see really nobody that will beat them. I dunno. They've struggled with worse teams than many of those. (Auburn, Miss St. w/o it's best player, So Carolina) There's no reason to think Pittsburgh, BYU, Wake, or Texas if they fired Rick Barnes and got a real coach couldn't beat them.
  13. The first four I am on board with being better than Vandy. The last one, no way. Temple and aTm too. Also, 4 of those 7 wins are on the road. Damn I forgot they played at Temple. That was one of their games I missed. Still, lately they haven't been playing very well. I still stand by thinking those are the two best teams in America and will play for the title. The difference in SOS is pretty dramatic. KU#23, Kentucky#71. And KU still has a home game vs. kenpom's #10(KSU) and a roadie vs. #13 (Mizzou). I'm the first to admit KU hasn't looked like the juggernaut I was hoping for. They should steamroll teams like Nebraska, ISU, and CO, but they end up being tight games. But UK has played almost nobody. They'll get tested at Vandy and at Tennessee, but their schedule is just weak. I truly believe, once they get into the second and third round of the tourney, they'll see teams that can beat them. I just don't see them making it out of the round of 16. Of course, I said the same thing about Memphis in '08.
  14. If Mizzou ends up as an 8 or a 9, I really hope UK is the 1. Ending Calipari's season again would be way too much fun. I think I'd actually be rooting for Mizzou in that game. I'm not sure they have the bigs to compete with UK, though. Seems like they might get killed on the boards.
  15. UK is supremely unlikeable. I look forward to them bowing out in the sweet 16 at the latest.
  16. Yeah, Sloan kind of disappeared in the second half. That hurt you guys. I was impressed by Loubeau, though. As an aside, Bryan Davis looks almost exactly like the predator. http://people.ee.duke.edu/~drsmith/cloaking/predator.jpg http://www.nbadraft.net/files/players/bryan-davis-hd.jpeg
  17. Good win. Something about Turg bugs me, though.
  18. we look like total crap. And while the tech and the no call on Dash's mauling were terrible, there have been plenty of awful calls both ways. The Loubeau offensive foul was one obvious one.
  19. KU murdered Dash Harris. Hope he's ok and can come back.
  20. The Austin American Statesman seems to think the Texas to the Big 10 thing is a Big 10 pipedream. http://www.statesman.com/sports/longhorns/texas-headed-to-the-big-ten-not-likely-230052.html As for the Big 12 protecting KU more than Texas, that doesn't make a lot of sense. The conference alignment is based on geography, not some sneaky attempt to put KU in the softest division possible. And the basketball tournament, which was always in KC, now rotates between three locations. (Which is fair, but it doesn't support KU getting preferential treatment.) There are a bunch of other points to support that the power is in the south (and Texas), not the least of which is the fact the conference office is in freaking Texas. Besides, why would they protect KU hoops over Texas? I'm sure UT makes way more money for the conference.
  21. You already have a lucky win over Illinois, don't get greedy The other day in the cafeteria I over heard a conversation. This guy was going on and on about how Illinois has the second best record in the Big Ten and how Mizzou blew them out, which proves how much better the Big XII is than the Big Ten. His reasoning is bad, but his conclusion isn't. The Big 12 is way better than the Big 10.
  22. http://deadspin.com/5468840/roy-williams-is-a-clueless-dick Video of the quote is included. I heard this talked about on the way home today. He shouldn't have said it but I'm not going to blast him for it. He's not saying that UNC's struggles are more important than the situation in Haiti. The situation at UNC hits him a hell of a lot harder than an earthquake in Haiti. I am going to blast him because there is no positive result to even comparing the two situations. I'm sure the situation at UNC DOES hit him a hell of a lot harder than an earthquake in Haiti. That doesn't mean it makes sense to talk about it. He just wanted to show the world how much it hurts Ol' Roy to lose. Because everything is all about Roy. The most ludicrous thing is, he wasn't even prompted to talk about Haiti. he came with that anecdote prepared. He doesn't even see how absurd it is. That's how self-absorbed he is.
  23. Roy Williams on UNC's collapse. http://deadspin.com/5468840/roy-williams-is-a-clueless-dick Video of the quote is included.
  24. I'm sorry, he'd be in the 2011 draft, not this year. Have you heard of this kid? Or is it too early to talk 2011 guys?
  25. Looking at the box score. McCamey and Tisdale are going nuts.
