  1. KU had about a .5% chance vs. OU next week to begin with. After this...we'll lose by 35 points, minimum. I'm thinking 52-10.
  2. This was a classic trap game for OU, looking ahead to next week's showdown with Kansas.
  3. That's the thing. If they play OU or MU, they'll need a huge push up front to disrupt their QBs. Otherwise both those guys will pick any team apart.
  4. the guy on the left is far sexier
  5. That final score of the Missouri game is a bit misleading and you know it. UI scored a meaningless TD with no time left to bring them back to within 10. And I believe Maclin missed a big portion of the game, too. Was the game a blowout? No. But Mizzou won it fairly handily. C'mon. Don't put me in the lame position of having to defend those clowns. In summary: Donglashings aplenty from the Big 12's top 3 if they played in the Big 10. Aww how nice. Want me to get you a Mizzou shirt? if we ever meet, i'm gonna punch you right in the snatch. I'll use the Mizzou shirt I bought you to block it. You better hope it provides a stiffer defense than Mizzou's secondary.
  6. I think you seriously underestimate Penn State. That is very possible.

  10. UT, MU, and OU would donglash anyone in the Big 10. KU is ranked based on its previous year and the fact it returned a bunch of starters. And losing on the road in a short week to a ranked team by a last second field goal isn't that bad a loss. That said, I think KU is a bit overrated. I'd put KU and Illinois as similar teams. It's impossible to say how good NW is. Wiscy has looked decidedly mediocre. Who knows what's up with MN. No question, the Big 12 has some bad teams in it (Baylor, aTm, KSU.) But it's a far superior conference to the Big 10, which has one legit national title contender in it in PSU. (Sorry tOSU.) And PSU is severely outclassed by maybe 4 teams in the Big XII, with 2 more probably having the ability to beat them 3 out of 10 times. (KU and Okie State.)
  11. Man I disagree with a lot of this post. Michigan is bad. That's why they're the ninth best team in the conference. It has little to do with the overall strength of the Big Ten. The Big 12 is way better. Way. They have 3, maybe 4 teams that would win the Big 10 easily. (MU, UT, OU, maybe TT.) KU and Okie State would be in the top echelon of the Big 10, too. CU would be a middling team. The rest of the Big 12 is average to awful, but it's certainly not worse than the middle to bottom part of the Big 10.
  12. You can probably throw KU on the upset alert in any game they're favored in for the rest of the year. Though we do play a lot better at home.
  13. Its all so subjective right now its hard to really say any of the top 6 are getting screwed, plus it doesn't really matter. It will even itself out over the next 4 weeks. If USC or OSU make the title game ahead of any 1 loss SEC or Big 12 team then we can all talk about someone getting screwed :-). The Big 12 South is looking really brutal, add in Mizzou and there are 5 legit teams that can win every week with their offenses. I agree it doesn't matter, but I do think Bama has made a much stronger case than anyone for one of the top two slots. It's not really worth arguing about, though, since if they keep winning they'll get where they need to be in the end. And yeah, the Big 12 South is looking rough. But I still think UT and OU are a class above the other two good teams in the south. Don't get me wrong; I wouldn't relish having to play TT and OSU, but they're not as good as UT and OU. As far as Mizzou goes, that offense is just absurd. If you're not getting a GOOD push from the front four, you're not going to win, unless you can match them point for point (unlikely.) That's why I'd say only UT and OU have a legit shot at toppling them in the Big XII.
  14. simultaneous posting^^^. shnsajax wins. Oh, and Bama's getting screwed at 4. Should be 2 (or even 1).
  15. And hopefully that won't be the only awesome comeback I witness during the next 4 days.
  16. well, as disappointing as that game is, I'll take heart in the fact we were down 20-0 at the half, and scored 35 points on the road in the second half to win. Better teams than this KU squad (OU last year, and I believe MU, too) have struggled in Ames. Still, it's pretty clear that wasn't just the Ames magic that kept it close. Our D line is a joke, and our secondary got burned several times, from what I've read.
  17. We're bad.
  18. Bradford and Daniel might put a combined 1200 yards up on KUs D. Absolutely pathetic. Throw in Harrell, too....
  19. "Might"? The HAVE to win this game. Even then, it's looking rocky the way they're playing. OU, UT, and MU are gonna bone us.
  20. this is shaping up to be the worst sports weekend ever.
  21. truffle looks kinda silly in this thread. Mad props to TT.
  22. Iowa State isn't exactly a team that can expose those weaknesses. If KU can get a decent pass rush ISU will be in trouble, since they haven't shown the capacity to run the ball yet. The defensive line has a few pass rushers, but is pretty weak against the run. If the team that played the 2nd half against UNLV shows up it could be close, but if the team that had 38 total yards in the 1st half of that game plays, Kansas can name the score. Kansas has had no pass rush. And ISU can be feisty in Ames.
  23. feel free to give me a ticket, someone. Snood will represent big time.
  24. I have to admit, I'm worried about ISU. Our lines (D & O) are just not getting the job done.
