lol. Can't blame a 25 point blowout on reffing. Were there any 3-second five-second calls? I'd love a round 3, but chances are it'll have to be in the Big 12 finals. And chances are, you'll have to beat OU in OKC to get there. So I don't see it happening.

oh no we're getting smoked by a very good kansas team at the phog what a big surprise. i wonder if illinois would score 20 at kansas. Sensitive much? I'm sure UI would score at least 35-40. But KU sure wouldn't get much more than 50-60. I fail to understand why people who are fans of other conferences don't realize that scores are low in the B10 because teams play defense, and not because players are inept at putting the ball in the basket. We scored 62 @ MSU when we sucked early in the season. I think we could put 60 up pretty comfortably against UI @ Phog.

KC gets a real nice attendance because of it's proximity to KU/KSU/MU and ISU. The Dallas venue makes sense except the Texas schools don't care that much about hoops. But since UT is pulling the strings for the Big 12 conference, I'm just glad it's not in Dallas every year.

As usual, I read this thread and assumed UI lost, only to find out they won by ten+. I'm not gonna make too much fun of you Illini fans because I'm probably the same way when I watch my teams play. Maybe it's part of being a Cubs fan. But damn, if you read each UI game portion of this thread, you'd think the Illini were about 3-26 on the season.

Na, missed that one. I know that he he doesn't involve himself as much with the hands on part of the recruiting. Deron Williams has said in the past he was recruited there, but never spoke to Williams. Seems like an odd way to recruit. I just heard that same thing about someone else. that he barely (or didn't) see Gary Williams, even on his official visit to the school.

I think they do. But whoever said it earlier was right--I think he would bolt for an ACC gig. Why? Why get in that conference with the two monsters? It eats up coaches. Pac Ten is where to go. Besides UCLA and Howland none of those other teams would scare me into thinking I couldn't outrecruit them. Maybe he waits for K to retire. by that time, Roy will likely be done, too. Dawkins is replacing K. I would imagine when Roy leaves Self will take the final step up. :-)) hahaha. I'd probably kill myself.

MSU and IU are the only programs that are clearly better than OU. Illinois is only marginally better historically (one more FF, 100 or so more wins), but they have a better recruiting bed, so I guess that makes it a better job. I suppose you could maek an argument for michigan too, but they haven't been relevant for 15 years. Everyone else is below OU, imo.

I'll take it, especially based on expectations at the beginning of the year. On the other hand, Capel seems to have his crap together and may be able to maintain a solid program at OU, so who knows. Yeah but at least we don't have an ex-Dukie as coach. and it's only a matter of time before a job in the ACC or Big 10 opens up for him. What job in the Big 10 that's likely to open is better than OU?

i would have loved to see what griffin would have done to his awkward white ass I don't think Aldrich would have guarded him much. There's no way he could have kept up, and Self would have wanted to keep CA out of foul trouble.

For a young team, even beating a Griffin-less OU on the road is worth something, but you're right in that it doesn't tell us a whole lot about how good KU is. OU won't come to Lawrence. They only play the south teams once.
