    If Lee is going on the 60 day, I'd call up Sing or Restovich. I know Sing is not exactly on fire right now, but maybe a call up will spark him. I grasping a straws here.

    I don't know that Neifi is great at anything except making contact at the plate. Be that as it may, being a great backup is like being the skinniest girl weighing over 300 pounds.

Hitting him high in the order Giving him playing time over Cedeno (before he got hurt) last year when the Cubs were out of it. And Jim Hendry giving him ridiculous money to be a back up. Over the course of a season he has very little value, even as a late inning replacement. He is not a competent fill in for a long period of time.

    After watching the replay it looked like Lee's wrist was bent backwards. There could be some ligament damange. I hope not, b/c I think ligaments take longer to heal. I really hope the damange isn't severe. It looked to me like Eyre just has a boo boo. I think he will be fine.

    I believe that Richard Hildalgo parlayed a great year into a huge contract with the Astros, but I am not sure how much. Then there was Mo Vaughn with the Mets. The Mets had a lot of bad contracts during the Phillips era.
