    He's struck out NINE!!!!!!! And isn't 6 innings, 3 ER considered a "quality start?" Or is it 7 innings? Well I guess 6 inninges, 3 ER, and 10 K's isn't doing ANYTHING right according to Anemic Offense. I think he should be more pissed about the correctness of his name, rather than Z's showing today. It's one thing to say Z has made some mistakes, it's another to say he hasn't done anything right. If you can honestly say you've been impressed with Z tonight I'd be shocked. Ks not withstanding. Your standards are unrealistic. He's walked three and struck out 10.

    I would have settled for a clutch walk there. I'd love to see a graph of the pitches the Cubs have swung at tonight. I'd bet a weeks salary that a majority of them were outside of the zone.

    Murt 2/3 of the way to his 3 BB night I predicted. Hopefully the 3 run shot will come later. and speaking of predictable, Jock swings at the first pitch.

    he's been pouting a lot this year. Then again he hasn't pitched this bad for this long in quite a while Z had a very good start last time out. He hasn't pitched that bad tonight. It should be 1-0. Why should it be 1-0? Becuase in the first inning Caberra pulled a low and away slider out of the park. Only a good hitter who has a little luck dosen't hit a weak grounder there. So you're not blaming Z for the walk to Uggla--who was on base when Cabrera hit that home run? No the walk was bad but Uggla was on first. Caberra can't run well. When you try to pull a ball that is low and away it usually ends up as a ground ball. Even if it managed to get by for a single the next guy k'd. Walks are bad. Z is solely responsible for walking Uggla and giving up the home run to Cabrera. Whether the odds were with Z or not on the pitch, doesn't mean he is not responsible. What in the wide wide world of sports are you talking about? Who said he wasn't responsible?

    It's baseball 101. Young pitchers Pitchers you haven't seen Lefties You take a ptich or two unless it is in the kill zone If you have all three of those wrapped up in one player you take a few. What do the Cubs do? Swing at pitch 2, 4, 6, 7, and 9.

    he left it over the middle of the plate. it was not a good pitch, at all. It was in the zone but low and away, nowhere near the middle of the plate.

    That wasn't that bad of a pitch to Caberra. Sometimes you have to tip your cap. --------- Does anyone think the WBC has affected Z? I don't have any opinon, just asking.
