Could his fall be due to clubs thinking there was something up with his arm? I don't know enough about the draft to have a strong opinion, but I don't like that the Mets will get the 10th pick back in next year's draft when they probably had an idea that something wasn't right or he wouldn't have been there. Maybe the Mets lowballed him with that knowledge so it was a low risk for them. Whatever, it's fishy.

The White Sox are just another team and in no way are a rival to the Cubs. That's [expletive] fan stuff. The main knock on Madrigal besides health is that people think he doesn't hit for enough power. My question, what 2nd does? Unless we find out who the other trade options were it's tough for me to criticize what they got for Kimbrel.

Wait until they don't trade Bryant... But seriously, if keep Bryant and resign him, pick up Seager in FA and some pitching. They could be right back in the hunt next year. -

The main thing I like about the Dodgers-Nats trade is that it makes it much more likely that Seager will be available in the FA market this winter.

By the game time today (6:05), the Cubs could look much different than the last 10 years. The real question is will the Nats be able to field a squad by game time.

After reading more about Alcantara and Vizcaino (those names must be like Smith and Jones in Latin America), I think the Cubs got a pretty nice deal for Rizzo. I'd feel a lot better if they gave Rizzo a proper way for the fans to celebrate him one last time in a game. It bothers me a lot for some reason.
