  1. I bet he's not back until the next homestand.
  2. Yes, I remember he was a hot prospect for a long time. Then he never really produced in the MLB.
  3. Best thing about last night is that they play a day game today.
  4. Boy that Padres manager is a lump of mayonnaise
  5. I would have put PCA in motion there
  6. I like the idea of the Cubs looking for pen help, but I'm hoping that they don't have to give anything up to get it. If they do, I think they have the pen help already in the system and on the team. Ben Brown may be a high leverage guy. Hayden may be a good option for middle relief or high leverage situations. Horton may be able to give you some innings in high leverage situations starting in July. I don't think it's time to panic just yet and they certainly need to clean up the pen, but it's not necessarily as bad as it looks as long as the SP is healthy.
  7. Ironically, the thread to announce no mega threads is itself a mega thread. Long Live the mega thread!
  8. The crazy thing is that Len is a lot less enjoyable on the radio than he is on TV. But he's sort of a weird dude.
  9. He was uncharacteristically wild. I think he was amped up for this start and it threw his mechanics and everything else off kilter a bit. The thing I like best about him, he's a strike thrower who will go after guys in the zone was absent in that start. One thing I did like was that they let him work through all the issues he was having. And he worked through them pretty well. I'm happily awaiting his next start.
  10. You're thinking of Daniel Placenta. He's a flamethrowing Lefty out of Panama who's in the Ranger's org.
  11. Girardi in the booth with Boog should be good for some cringe hilarity
  12. Swanson has always been a streaky hitter. He had to tighten up his game though.
  13. Horton must be really juiced up. He’s walked three. Everything is up.
